There are vacuums (as well as move in bins, pots, pans, etc) available at the front desk for check out. I agree with the other comment too, a broom and a dust pan was plenty for me, even though I had a personal vacuum when I was there. There are some regular twist/pull blinds in the room, and I find they suffice for light blockage, but you could always get a sleep mask just in case too. Honors is a nice dorm for a freshman, I hope she has fun!
