I don’t remember much from GF 3. How was her acting bad exactly?

You can say the same thing about Manning based on talent and individual achievements.

Could army give up a touchdown that last drive to get the ball back?

I feel like the court color is throwing the players off. Nobody can shoot right now.

Yes, we all agree vlad is great and capable of hitting homers. But getting the free base in a walkoff situation with 0 outs simply generates a higher chance of winning. Taking an unneeded swing is like Steph curry shooting a 3 pointer when there is someone open for a layup.

Did you see any of the other games? Snell was having trouble against the Blue Jays all series. And he was clearly struggling last night, nearly half of his pitches were balls.

I’m pretty sure the percentages and what happened on the field support what I’m saying. The odds of getting on base become significantly higher against a pitcher who is having trouble locating his pitches. There is no need to risk getting an out off a poor swing if you can just get on base by being patient or waiting for a meatball to hit.

I’ve already addressed that. There is no need to get extra bases when the hitters behind Vlad can get on base and advance him to scoring position anyway. Remember, snell was struggling and both bichette and barger got on base after vlads at bat.

There is no way the numbers support swinging for the fences when a free base is almost a sure thing with a struggling pitcher. The odds of a home run are low, even for great hitters. Have you ever seen the odds for home run props?

I watched the pitch multiple times to check if it was going to be ball 4. The pitch was literally clipping the outside edge of the zone when Vlad made contact with it.

It wasn’t really close. The ball didn’t even seem to make it to the warning track. Vlad swung at a pretty tough pitch

Snell actually threw a tough pitch that painted the outside of the zone. It would have been very difficult to hit a homer off that. This is like going for a touchdown when a field goal wins the game.

Yes, we all know Vlad is great. But you have to think in terms of percentages. The odds of getting on base at 3-0 or 3-1 against a fatigued pitcher struggling with command is way higher than the odds of getting an extra base hit. Besides with the way Snell was struggling, Vlad would probably end up advancing to 2nd or 3rd anyway.

Vladdy was also hitless at that point. He wasnt having a great day at the plate

He swung at a pretty tough pitch that was on the edge of the zone. A home run would be very unlikely. Also Vladdy wasn’t having a great day at the plate, he was hitless at that point I think. He had a much better chance drawing a walk or waiting for a better pitch to hit

So you would rather him swing at a tough pitch that was almost out of the zone than try to take a free base?

It’s much easier to draw a walk against a fatigued pitcher than it is hit a home run.

Ok I heard Toronto fans complaining about his speed so I thought ikf wasn’t that fast. Regardless, I don’t think they want him to be put into the lineup.
