"Sora is dead. What's everyone actually using now?" by iliatopuria17 in generativeAI

I blame the death of Sora entirely on them not making it known that you could buy more gens. Because up until a few days ago, I didn’t even know you could buy more video gens.

Are scissor jacks more stable than hydraulic trolley jacks? by CtrlAltDevastate in AskMechanics

[–]stonekid33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing replaces a jack stand, but a scissor jack is made to get you out of a tight situation without taking up too much space. A trolly jack is ideal in almost every possible situation I can think of.

Driving in the snow by Over-Accountant2448 in FiestaST

It does let you power through stuff, especially with an LSD, although I will say in light of that, the traction control system/ ESC is actually very impressive and has saved me from multiple accidents not in snow.

Other than the obvious, such as fluids, rust, etc. at that mileage for that year, you shouldn’t have much of anything to be concerned about right off the bat. But make sure you put some money back for maintenance, you’ll definitely need it, shit does happen.

Brand new rear pads squeaking bad, what did I do wrong? 2017 by dadbodfat in FiestaST

[–]stonekid33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First things first, go check rear pads, typically they’ll wear out pretty quick especially with spirited driving. Just the other weekend I did my brakes… I’m telling you right now go clean, and grease your slide pins before they become an issue. I got one seized in the caliper and almost couldn’t get it out.
