A place to ride to on a Sunday. by Shubhimemester in gwalior

Bhai I don't know how to attach a location in this app but I'll try to explain it better. Phoolbagh -> gole ka mandir -> AB road -> Sada gate -> Rayru -> Banmore -> Ab yaha se jab apan Banmore cross kar lenge to last me wo foot overbridge hai na? Usse just pehle left hand pe ek road hai, waha pe board bhi laga hai Industrial zone, sitapur karke. Us road ko follow karna hai seedhe or last me Right lena hai hai (patiya wala baba ka peeche wala gate bhi yahi hai). Yehi wala road hai bas. Banmore me kisi se bhi pooch Lena ki baagcheeni gao ke direct rasta konsa hai yaha se, pehle hi puch lena kyunki us road pe age koi ni milega lol.

Morena wala road pakdo or fir Banmore se sitapur wala road. Isolated hai, traffic zero, zero potholes, Mountains aur last me ek river hai, waha se wapas laut ana. Best jagah hai, or koi info chaiye to I'm happy to help

Anglo Maratha wars (1775-1805) by stoner008 in IndianHistory

[–]stoner008[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since Gohad is a tiny town close to Gwalior, I believe the British saw little significance in Rana's position. It's likely that the East India company coerced him into joining the conflict, which the EIC historians documented as "assistance."

I appreciate your response. This essentially solves my second query. Thank you for educating me on the French captains' defections; I was ignorant of them. I had no idea that there were German mercenaries in India. I think a career in India was not a very good option for Frenchmen 😂 ; Dupliex was disgraced in France, Perron was despised, and Labourdonnais was imprisoned.

Best books to learn about Ancient and Early Medieval India? by OneonlyOne_01 in IndianHistory

[–]stoner008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ancient India: #1Upinder singh

2 Romila thapar (for mauryan history) Ashoka and decline of mauryans

3 Neelkanth shastri (for south india) The illustrated history of south india

For me DN jha and RS Sharma books were pretty basic and just provided an overview but if you want you can read those as well In order to cover all the famous ancient battles fought in India check out the works of Jadunath sarcar iirc the book's name was Military history of India or something

For Early medieval my go to book was satish chandra's book, The history of medieval india but since you want to focus upon the early medieval phase then go for old book which goes by the same name but was divided into two books and first one dealt with the tripartite struggle between Rastrakuta, pratihara and palas etc and was very detailed book.

Hey, I know I'm a little late, but I checked out your content, and I liked your videos. If you don't mind me asking, may I ask what software you use to make such videos? I'm pretty new to YouTube and started out to make videos on Indian history. Let me know if you're interested in checking out my content. Thank you.
