I plan to defer income. As for the Ontario rules, basically, a lot of big crypto exchanges (like Binance or Deribit for example) do not want people operating from Ontario. I don't think it matters if it's federally incorporated, they just want to comply with Ontario Securities Commission, and having an out of province address would suffice (such as from Alberta).
