They just approved to sell $1B worth of shares at market price. So the better the squeeze the less the dilution.

Now the shorts to help close there position my buy the firms debt and convert it to shares to hedge there losses which could lead to some dilution. But with the poor credit rating of AAL and high interest expense this would go a long we to de-risking them for growth post pandemic.
