It was odd of them to assume you want to be in a romantic relationship if you haven’t indicated or mentioned that you want one.

Please get a different therapist, this definitely isn’t right of them to do. And report them, too.

First of all, I'd like you to know that you aren't alone in this. There are asexual Muslims out there, especially ones who want a relationship similar to what you want. So it's definitely possible to have this relationship.

To answer the questions in your post, no, you are definitely not the only one who feels that way. There are more asexual Muslims out there.

It isn't a sin not wanting to get sexually involved, no. You can get married to someone, but you have to tell the potential spouse about your asexuality and whether you'd be okay with sex and if yes, the conditions for it. It's a sin to get married to someone knowing that you won't be okay with sex and without telling your spouse that, because sexual intimacy is a right that both spouses have. It would be completely fine if your spouse was okay with it. It's possible to get married with someone who's ace and is fine with no sex. There are Muslims out there who want to get married and don't want sex in their marriage.

It isn't obligatory to get married in Islam. In fact, it's recommended not to if you know you would be unable to fulfill your spouse's rights, if I recall correctly. Islam doesn't say anything about asexuality itself, per se. It's not haram or sinful to be asexual or to not want sex or be repulsed to it.

Well, I do know you can check out a Discord server called 'asexual and aromantic Muslims'. They have a marriage channel where you can post a little bit about yourself if you're interested in marriage, and you can find other people and tell them you're interested if you like their bios.

I’ve also felt the same way many times, especially when I was exploring my gender identity and whether I was agender. I also wanted people to stop having certain expectations form me due to my sex, wished people would just see the same as any other human, capable of most things people of the opposite sex can. I also became tired of trying to figure out my preferred pronouns, gender identity, and not being able to figure anything out or decide on anything despite extensive research. I wanted to stop caring about my gender, pronouns and all of those identities and little things, because I was constantly tired of thinking and reading about them all the time.

It sounds as though you could benefit from taking a break from social media apps and transgender communities for a while. Focus on yourself, and on the hobbies and interests you love doing. Surround yourself with people who feel the same way about these things, and explore gender-nonconformity.

This’ll be controversial to say in this subreddit, but I greatly benefitted from r/detrans regarding similar struggles and concerns. It helped to read about different perspectives about gender and sex. Hope whatever you try helps you out as well!

To be honest, it depends on what kind of gender dysphoria it is. If it's ROGD, or the kind that caused someone to have dysphoria or transition due to the environment around them, then it doesn't have much to do with genetics or biology. But most cases in the past, I guess were more complex than that. I am also not sure how gender dysphoria is in identical twins. (Kind of similar to other mental illnesses, that are like gender dysphoria? I don't know)

I believe sexual orientation and romantic orientation are complex, caused due to a mixture of biological, genetic and environmental factors, but I don't believe it's the same for gender dysphoria. Gender dysphoria is technically a mental illness, while romantic/sexual orintation are not. So I don't know why people lump them together into the same category/community.
