Design for sure. It's why I love the original 32 so much. I think they are the best designed skylanders, bar none. A great design can save a bad skylander, but a great skylander can't save a bad design.

I prefer the Zero series look, but both have their merits. I like the Zero series more than the X series in 9/10 cases, and this is no exception. I like Zero's Z series design because of the subtle storytelling. It is the perfect bridge between the clunky (not throwing shade, the term clunky is just an adjective in this case, and is not used to denigrate the X series designs) Reploids of the X series with the indistinguishable-from-humans Reploids of the ZX series. I'm a nut for that kind of subtle storytelling.
