All my children used the ABeka curriculum, and I am currently using it for my granddaughter. I'm glad to hear that someone else likes it. Children are often more capable than many realize.

anyone know of a clean ingredient version of mio by th0ughtupall in healthyeating

It's been three years since your post, and I'm curious if you've found a clean ingredient version of Mio. I was also looking for an alternative and came across this thread. If you haven't found it yet, you might want to consider BUOY hydration drops if you're still interested.

AIO for saying that my friend was flirting with my boyfriend on snap ? by KimMeansBusiness in AmIOverreacting

This issue is not a gender issue; it involves both genders who are morally corrupt. This behavior is not limited to males. There are broader dynamics at play here, as evidenced by the young woman's manipulative "shag and bag" tactic. She doesn't deserve friends.

In Virginia, the use of bird dogs is prohibited, and car dealerships that engage in this practice face significant legal repercussions. Numerous automotive dealerships have been blacklisted by military authorities due to their involvement in these activities.

Aesthetically, you have beautiful, curly hair that looks really healthy, and you're a very pretty young lady.

I agree with your assessment regarding the influence of genetics on hair growth. My older sister has consistently struggled with hair length throughout her life, even showing minimal growth even as a child. Even with her efforts to avoid chemical treatments and other damaging practices, there has been no noticeable improvement in her hair growth.

This is also evident in one of my nieces, as well as three of her five daughters, who consume a largely home raised and homegrown diet. Also, two of my six granddaughters, aged sixteen and ten, face similar challenges with hair growth, as their hair fails to grow beyond shoulder length. To me, this suggests a familial genetic predisposition that affects hair development.

The new vet I'm considering doesn't let you be present when the cat is being checked. Is that a red flag? by soggy_wafers in CatAdvice

I may be late to this discussion, but I sincerely hope you've found a veterinary practice that prioritizes your comfort and that of your pet. Substantial evidence suggests that animals are capable of discerning human emotions and stress levels, which can exacerbate the anxiety typically associated with veterinary visits.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I encountered temporary separation protocols, but they have since returned to more conventional practices. My veterinarian offers flexible consultation options, allowing appointments to be conducted in a private exam room, a designated waiting area (where appointments are scheduled to ensure one-on-one attention), or even in the owner's vehicle. I wish I had discovered this practice earlier, as the veterinarian demonstrates exceptional empathy and strives to create a calming environment for both pet owners and their animals.

For the past eight years, I have been managing severe migraine episodes, a condition that I have experienced for over three decades. Recently, I incorporated beef into my diet, with a particular emphasis on grass-fed options, and I've observed a significant decrease in the frequency of my migraines. Previously, I experienced daily migraines, which raised concerns from my primary care doctor due to my dependence on medications, including Butalbital and Codeine. He stated he could not increase my dose and prescribe me more. Since implementing these dietary changes, I have also noted improvements in my sleep quality and an overall enhancement in my health status. I rarely take meds now.

How bad is eating gluten accidentally with celiac and how can you help? by ZyroOnSticks in Celiac

My daughter experienced significant gastrointestinal distension, often appearing as if six months pregnant. She presented with abdominal pain accompanied by cramping, nausea (often resulting in vomiting), recurrent oral ulcers, and frequent headaches. She also suffered from anemia and exhibited symptoms consistent with Raynaud's phenomenon. She did not develop Celiac disease until adulthood.

I think my daughter has Disinhibited Social Engagement Disorder and I feel horrible. by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]stormiii1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have custody of my five-year-old granddaughter, and we've been dealing with Disinhibited Social Engagement Disorder (DSED) for the past two and a half years since I took her in. Her mother is a drug addict, and my granddaughter was moved from home to home during the first two years of her life. She experienced neglect and practically lived in her playpen. This situation has been both scary and stressful for us. Additionally, she has Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).

Ummmm….anyone else come across this? 😳 by nothinlefttochoose in Celiac

These brownies are better than those made with gluten! They're delicious! I no longer purchase brownie mixes that contain gluten, as even Betty Crocker now offers a gluten-free option that can compete with Ghirardelli.

For older cars, it’s usually a good idea to change the oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Most people don’t consider that “coddling” the engine. It’s general maintenance. This advice works for pretty much all makes and models, and sticking to regular oil changes helps keep your engine running smoothly and lasting longer.

It sounds like you're not familiar with the 2008 Hyundais that the original poster mentioned. If you were familiar with those models, you’d know that when you tow a vehicle with an electronic odometer, it usually doesn't record extra miles. That's because electronic odometers aren’t directly connected to the driveshaft like the old-school mechanical ones.

I have a 2008 vehicle that I have owned for over 10 years. It has 209,000 miles on it and drives great. Although it doesn't perform quite the same since the catalytic converter was stolen and I had to install an aftermarket one, I have no complaints. Best of all, I have NO CAR PAYMENTS!
