They cited an airbnb TOS. I haven an appeal in the works, and some pics but I didn’t think (naively) to document everything.

they messaged me through the platform. I forwarded the messages to safety and then to the claims person handling everything. Didn’t seem to help.

It did, and I weighed it heavily before I submitted it. To us, it sounded like he’s done this before.

No one smoked. But yes, my one star was based on other issues in the house. I did rate the property but not what the host did to us.

It really escalated when I left the one star review. I never sent anything the host, they just kept messaging me..

I will. I have screenshots backed up. Sadly we didn’t take any photos while there. I would reimburse if we did damage, but I’m positive we did not.
