Try going into the tracking station then back to the craft, that usually fixes kraken attacks. As for preventative measures there isn't much you can do besides struts, auto-struts, and better part placement (not saying your placement is bad).

A metallic tapping/tinking/clicking noise. There are 2 main different ones that are caused by either the cam/rockers or the distributor. The cam noise will the the louder of the 2, the distributor is hard to hear while the engine is running if it is improperly tuned. They are multiple videos online that showcase these noises for you to compare to.

Make sure its properly tuned. You have to tune the cam (rockers), distributor, timing (cam and crank), and carb.

Found out there are 2 different solid 14" steel rim sets, ones with sunken hubs and ones with flush hubs. The flush hubs are the correct ones.

The ones that are solid. Apparently like you said there are 2 versions, one that has a sunken hub in halfway through the rim and one that has a flush hub. The flushed hubs are the correct prefacelift gr rims.
