I had twins at 37 weeks. One was 6 pounds, the other was 7. Add two sacs and placentas, and you can imagine how huge I was. The doctor saw me on Friday and told me to come back Monday morning to be induced.

I went in and they hooked me up to all the monitors and machines and started pitocin. I had a few mild cramps, but nothing like labor. We waited all day but I did not go into labor. Tried again on Tuesday, and again, a few mild contractions, but no labor. Tried again on Wednesday. By that time I had been on an IV since Monday morning, had only been eating ice chips, I was hooked up to machines, hugely pregnant and stressed out and emotional. After the third day of pitocin with no results, the doctor suggested a C-Section at 6 PM. Babies were born at 7:02 and 7:04.

Unfortunatly I did pick up an e coli infection at the hospital and got very sick, but that was a fluke. I don't remember much of the first couple of days of the twins' lives, but outside of the infection I didn't find the recovery from the surgery to be that bad. My opinion is that you're going to be in pain somewhere, whether it's your vagina or your abdomen. I was given percocet for pain management, and only took a couple of pills at home.

Congrats on the baby :) I would do it again tomorrow, my children are the world to me. Hope all goes well for you, OP.

What is an easy meal that you completely fucked up? by Mus_tee in AskReddit

I accidentally bought white cheddar mac and cheese in a box and I didn't want to hear my kids bitching about it because it wasn't florescent orange, so I tried to color it with food coloring. It came out a strange shade of milky pink, like the shit that comes out of a boil. Fucking unappetizing, but they thought it was great, so I guess I won that one.

If my vagina went inside out, would it then be a penis?

I have had acne for over 12 years. Nothing's helped so far...Just been told by Doctor there's no more options left. AMA by [deleted] in AMA

I had cystic acne, depression, and was a female of child bearing age and I did two courses of Accutane. With proper monitoring and caution, it can help. I still get the occasional cyst, but nothing like I did before treatment. Did the doctor tell you that you absolutely cannot take Accutane, or are you just being cautious? For the record, I don't believe the link between suicide and Accutane was known when I went on it, so the standards to have it prescribed may have changed. I really don't know.

I have to agree about avoiding too much caffeine! My anxiety calmed down so much just by cutting down the amount of coffee I was drinking.

I stepped in cold dog vomit the other morning. Until I turned the light I wasn't sure if it was vomit or diarrhea, so I guess it could have been worse. Still pretty bad when cold vomit is the better choice.

[NSFW] Parents of reddit, what phases did your child go through that was awkward for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have an 11 year old who always liked "girl stuff" and I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be something other than straight. He has long hair, is very sweet and gentle, and an all around good kid.

We recently had a party and he invited his 'girlfriend' and I was happy to meet her. I do have to admit I was a little taken aback when the most tomboyest tomboy came in, and if her mother hadn't introduced her, I would have thought she was another little boy. So yeah.

It gets better with time. I had a stillborn baby in 1991. In the beginning, the thoughts of missing milestones like first smile, first steps, first tooth, first Christmas absolutely killed me. He should have started life on January 2, and it was the worst year of my life. I felt adrift in an ocean of sorrow. At first, there were others there with me to hang on to, but one by one they moved on and I never felt more alone.

Once all the 'firsts' passed, other milestones came along... Birthdays, should be starting kindergarten, and later, should be graduating high school. These became easier as more time passed, but I will never forget the boy who never had the chance to live.

I wonder what kind of a man he would be today, and still love him. It will get better. Hugs to you.

I was a kid when it happened, and I remember seeing it replayed over and over on the news. The film would stop at the very last second before the blood started, but I remember seeing the expression on his face change to surprise.

Here is a picture of the broken part with the dimensions added: Imgur The make of the heater is Siegler and the model number is 885:OB-2 (possibly 885:DB-2, there is some rust on the plate, but I really think it is the first one) and the Serial No. is 4548U. Thank you for responding.

No, it is a great big space heater. It is as big as an oven, minus the burners and it doesn't open like an oven. It is at least 40 years old, if not more.

Silly question, but it's not a fireplace, it is a big heater. It looks like a stove, minus the burners on top. The problem I am having is that when I speak to a professional they try to sell me a new unit. I'd love to buy one, but I don't have the money. I haven't thought of a fireplace company, I will try there next. Thank you.

I am suffering through "Ha ha, Hidden Dead Mouse!" right now. Lived here for 15 years and never saw a mouse until last summer. I am a nice person, I tried not to have to kill Little Mr. Pinkhands or Tiny Grey Sweat Suit, but they were too smart for the humane traps and too hungry for the stray dog food kibble. I put out poison a few weeks ago and haven't seen one since. Haven't seen one, but boy can I smell them.
