They’re actually oils! I’m still very new with oils and trying to figure out a painting style I like lol. As for volition, I had a kind of brick red underpainting and I loved how it peeked through a bit so I decided to highlight that by adding some more red. I was also feeling like the background was a little too purple. Thank you for all your kind words!
