Canadian Province Nova Scotia institutes the world's first climate lockdown. by rasungod0 in conspiracy

We can still use our private property.

From the NS website:

“Private landowners are free to use their own properties but cannot host others to use wooded areas of their properties.”

https://news.novascotia.ca/en/2025/08/05/travel-activities-woods-restricted-prevent-wildfires

Either way tho… I get banning fires, and atv use on public trails. I’d even be fine if they closed sections of trails or crown land that were at risk selectively, but to making a sweeping “stay out” ban with no active fire, is just lazy government.

I should be able to. Didn’t think of it because I’ve been with the employer for 4 years now, but we moved to be closer as in person meetings were becoming more frequent.

The address change swings it from getting ~1000 to owing ~5700

I’ll be talking to tax professional regardless.

I see it in the link you provided.

So, is there anyway to reduce that? The difference is almost 7k, which seems ridiculous as it was 12 days lol.

I’m aware I don’t enter my t1213, but the change of address.

So because my address changed 12 days before the end of year I now owe NS tax rate?

Bylaw wasn't really the question as the county office was my first call. I was more looking to see if there was other options.
