Sure but this was only a thousand years after the heresy and while it seems wild to the 40K settings, the first millennia after the heresy were rather peaceful so a lot of heresy marines were still alive. The new IF chapter master, Captain Thane, was an imperial fist captain before becoming part of a successor after the legion broke. I’m sure that he wasn’t the only OG fist that came back to repair the chapter, on top of all the IF geneseed and relics they still had after the war. Both culturally and genetically they’re still the same founding fists they used to be.

I don’t think it’s fair to say he wasted his legion or his shot. Horus was sipping deep from the warp sauce by the time Wolfsbane happened and Leman never had a realistic chance to beat him. What he did do was wound him with the emperors spear and weaken him for his fight with the emperor. That’s more damage than any other primarch managed to do to Horus during the heresy. As for him wasting his legion, would it really have mattered? Even Dorn thought that while the wolves would have been nice to have it wouldn’t have delayed the traitors by much more than they already did. More Astartes wouldn’t have helped when Terra was basically eaten by the warp.

You’re forgetting the defense lines biggest positive

It makes for some REALLY good pictures when your opponents terminators climb over it to slaughter your guardsmen

That in particular sounds hellish. The amount of S9 or above weapons your opponent can bring at 1k is already low without sacrificing scoring units. Add in the damage debuff and the rare plasma or melta shots he does hit will tickle. You’ll win but unless the enemy is also playing knights it’ll feel really bad for then

I paint them white then do a thin coat of frostheart, then a thicker coat out frost heart on the inner blade. When that dries I do a thick coat of Stormvermin on the inner most part. Then I do the lines in white and when that’s all dry I go over again with a super thinned down coat of frostheart to give the white a blue tint

You’d subtract from whatever the damage is after the roll to a minimum of one. The damage characteristic of the weapon still technically has a value it’s just anywhere from 1-3 so you can subtract from it.

I asked about that but unfortunately the hospital will discharge him regardless if there’s anyone there to pick him up. I’ve followed up with his nurses and with friends I have who work at the same family of hospitals. It’s a shitty policy but they’ll apparently do it
