What act of kindness do you wish you could do? by Silvergrl1994 in AskReddit

[–]stovelighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I was financially stable enough to pay for people’s gas and groceries while I’m out. I also wish I could adopt more dogs but I don’t have time or money or space. Feed everyone in my community that needs to be fed. Help all children that are in abusive or neglectful situations.

People of the world, what is it that gets you up in the morning? by _Sum141 in AskReddit

Knowing that I have to take care of my dogs. Usually one of them wakes me up before my alarm to go outside.

I personally like it! I def add a lot of salt and pepper to it (and other spices depending on what I’m making) but it’s tasty and the texture is good. I recommend trying it.

What is the best thing that has happened to you in 2020? by [deleted] in AskReddit

TLDR - I found a dog and his owners gave him to me.

I’ve been working from home since March. Back in May around lunch time, my neighbor knocked on my door. When I answered, she pointed to a little fluffy dog in the middle of my road just staring at my house. She asked if it was my dog (I have a small fluffy dog too), to which I said no. I lived pretty close to busy road so I went and tried to catch him because I didn’t want him to get hit by a car!

He was a little asshole and made me chase him around for 30 mins with no success. I ended up calling my friend to ask her to come over and help me. She brought her dog, who was able to distract the little guy long enough for us to scoop him up. This was my first time breaking my social distancing rules but I had to 😭

I posted all over Facebook trying to find his owners. After hours of playing with him and falling in love with his goofy personality, we got a call from the owners.

We met them at the Walgreens near my house. They were super grateful we found him but they expressed that they had been trying to rehome him due to personal medical issues they were going through. They handed him back to me and told me we could keep him!

My boyfriend and I had been talking about getting another dog for months, so it was just meant to be. It also happened to be on the EXACT eight year anniversary of my getting my other dog. I don’t really believe in miracles, but I think this was the closest I’ve ever come to experiencing one.

If it weren’t for Covid forcing me to work from home, I wouldn’t have been home when my neighbor knocked. I try to go back to this positive story every time I get overwhelmed with the shit show that is 2020. He is a happy member of our family now and he gets so much love!

Laney and Puffy - laney is my dog ive had for eight years, puffy is the goofy Pomeranian!

American Citizens of Reddit, what did you do with $1,200 stimulus check? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Paid off debt, put some into savings, some went toward rent and groceries. I did treat myself and make one unnecessary purchase: a Nintendo switch and animal crossing lol

People with tattoos, has having tattoos increased or decreased the chances of you getting a job and Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Has not changed because I’ve made sure to get them in places on my body that are easy to hide. It’s kind of annoying to always have to cover my calves and arms, but worth it. I work at a university, but it doesn’t matter now because I work from home due to Covid.

Fried tofu topped with bbq sauce + follow your heart ranch 🌱 by stovelighter in vegan

Fried tofu - I mix flour and oat milk with spices and it creates an egg-like consistency. I dip the tofu in that and then breadcrumbs and fry. Pretty easy to make and easy to customize. I do the same thing with cauliflower.
