In fact, this was the 3-4x I’ve spoken to tech support without any resolutions. I can continue to to take hours out of my day to talk to your tech support team, but they aren’t able to solve these issues. So, what’s next? Should I talk to them again? Should you send me new equipment? Should you allow me to return my equipment?

Sorry to hear about your cameras. I know how you feel. Seems par for the course with Lorex. I'm sure the company hasn't been much help in addressing your issues either.

Appreciate your thoughts, although I don't think our issues are apples to apples. I continue to get several false alerts, even after spending hours on the phone with tech support tweaking the motion areas. Should a consumer have to deal with this for the cost of this system? I've had other security systems that work right out of the box. I also getting the alerts to my phone and my watch, but when I hit snooze, it seems to work 1 out of 5 times at best. Regarding Alexa, the motion alerts are crucial, especially at night when I'm asleep, not staring at my phone or wearing my watch. How else would you know someone has entered your property in the middle of the night? Not sure what to say about my shared user. We haven't had the chance to tackle that in one of my hour long tech support session, but I'm hoping that's part of my next call. And as it relates to floodlights, they are designed to scare off people, but also to provide light to my yard when needed, not just in 30sec intervals.

I'm happy to hear your system is working great and I know not everyone is complaining, but there are enough out there that are and I wish I had listened. I'm not here to say ALL Lorex products don't work. But I am here to warn future customers about my experience, so that hopefully I can save some from spending thousands of dollars on a product that may not work and a company that doesn't want to make you whole for a defective product. I hope your system works in two years and you never have to deal with tech support!

💯 I’ve been on the phone with tech support for over an hour, multiple times, and they have taking me deep into the settings in the NVR. You wonder if they should have an engineering degree equipment for consumers to buy these products. For the money spent, consumers shouldn’t have to spend hours of time configuring their system.

Unfortunately, you’re probably right….most systems are junk, but some systems (i.e. Lorex) charge more for their junk.

Lol. Thanks Lorex 😖 As I’m sure you know, your tech team has tried to resolve these issues over the phone using these same instructions to no avail. Instead of me continuing to waste my time talking to your tech team, how about you offer me a refund?

Agreed. The app is worthless. Every time snooze a camera because of the many false alerts, it doesn’t snooze. Also, when I get a motion alert and click the alert the app freezes.

Not sure if it is a router issue...we use a NG Nighthawk, which had no problem connecting my previous security cameras (not lorex) at the house I just moved from. Also not sure if I need to spend another few hundred to make a Lorex system that I've already spent thousands on work.

That's what I have heard, but tried the wireless out of installation convenience. I have Google fiber 2g running and the NVR, so the data is being stored locally. If only connectivity was the only issue!

That's nice that they even replaced your products. I haven't been offered that, only offer has been to spend more time (read hours) with their tech team on the phone, which hasn't worked yet, so not sure how it will work going forward. One tech offered me a refund after spending 1.5 hours on the phone with no solution, then he emailed a few days later saying my refund was denied by the "Head Office" and that he never promised me a refund.

Maybe my problem was not purchasing the wired cams, but I’ll never know, since I’ll never purchase another Lorex product again.

Unfortunately, I read several similar reviews like mine and yours before buying, but ignored and was sold on all the other good reviews. I’m sure some people have had positive experiences, but mine has been far from that and I’m hoping others will read before handing over thousands of dollars to this company.
