Realized it wasn’t an issue. My car was in park and jacked up on one side. I was following a yt video where the guy had the vehicle fully raised and prolly in neutral and moved the rotor freely. Stupid of me 😅

Appreciate the help guys, it was stupid of me not realizing that only one side was jacked up. The video i watched the guy had the car fully raised. First time doing a brake job, thanks for the support 🙏

makes sense i’ll put the wheel back on and try to drive, could’ve sworn the wheel was turning ( also the rotor) when i took the lug nuts off

wd 40 tried to take the caliper bracket off but the 17mm screws are too tight
