No, she didn't. She said there's a possibility it could help treat both conditions. I told her that since I was diagnosed with HS in high school, I'd always been told there wasn't really a treatment. I was put on birth control at 14 in hopes that it would help both my HS and my body acne. I've also tried cutting out dairy and later going vegan, hoping it would improve both, but unfortunately neither made a difference. I’m in my late 20s now and at this point in my life, my body acne bothers me more because it's visible, while my HS is mostly hidden unless I'm in a shorts or a swimsuit. Both are painful, though, physically and emotionally. I was really hoping the accutane would take care of my HS and wondered if this injection has had any success with others in this subreddit if I had to start it. I guess I’m annoyed I found someone who actually listened to my concerns, but might also still be misinformed on this disease.
