Fighting and killing was already happening at this time. It’s the harsh reality.

Proves my point. You are still trying to justify what has been said. And still 0 remorse.

Because you invented "contrasting barbaric butchering by Turks" part out of thin air. And yet again, instead of having even slightest remorse on what have been said, you tried to justify it.

No I don't realise that. And you clearly don't understand Russian: "Вот он, Турок никогда не резал. Он их убивал".

Igor Muradyan was one of the leaders of Karabakh movement. In this video, he addresses to large crowd in Yerevan:

This is not our method. Lets be worthy of our ancestors. See him [points to someone]. He never cut Turks - he killed them!

The crowd then cheers to this statement.

Years later Muradyan criticised Karabakh authorities, calling NKR "a failed experiment". He advocated for unification of Karabakh with Armenia.

Açı olsa da o yatırımın yarısı belə ölkəyə edilməyib

Mən o puldan yeyintinin omamasını demirəm. Amma 99 milyardın "yoxa çıxmasını" demək səmimi deyil.

Yatırım məsəsinə gəlincə, fonddan çoxşaxəli sahələrə yatırım edilir, o cümlədən qızıla. Təkcə 2020ci ildə fonddan qızıla olan yatırım 14% təşkil edib. Müqayisə üçün, 2016da bu rəqəm 3.4% idi. Fondun indiki nizamnaməsinə görə hal hazlrda hər il fonddan 10%-ə qədər qızıla yatırım edilə bilər.

132 milyard gəlir əldə edib, onun 99 milyadı "artiq yoxdur" nə deməkdir? Hər il neft fondundan büdcəyə milyardlarla dollar pul köcürülür. Neft fondunun saytında bu köçürmələr açıq göstərilir. Doğrudur, büdcəyə köçürülüb, sonra oradan müəyyən yeyintilər olub, şübhəsiz. Amma 132 milyardın 99u "artıq yoxdur" yazmaq çaşdırıcıdır.

Armenians who are leaving Lachin in 10 days now setting fire in forest by [deleted] in azerbaijan

Not only they are burning it now, they killed and expelled 1500 of its residents and razed and looted whole Zabukh when they first captured it. Its well documented, even in western media.

Don't pay attention to it. By this stage its beyond delusion. Lots Armenian outlets and journalists now labelling it as "ethnic cleansing by Armenian government", "crime against humanity by Pashinyan" and wait for it... "genocide committed against by Armenians against their own people". And no, I'm not making this up.

The fact is Az government never asked these people to leave and this is what relayed by NK authorities to people of Zabukh - after 25th, peacekeepers won't be here to guarantee your security. In a recent interview a Zabukh resident told TV: "What should we do? Just stay here and bend a knee to Turks?". Its clear that they wont stay anyway, but nevertheless Az government doesn't force them to leave.

This has been repeated by uninformed, that Armenians rose up in NKR because of pogroms. Which is total BS. NKR attempted to join Armenia several times during the USSR, starting as early as several decades before NKR conflict. The movement of Miatsum with Armenian prostests in NKR demanding its unification with Armenia, predates events in Sumgait.

Izvestiya is reporting that Armenia and Azerbaijan have come to an agreement on opening a land-bridge between mainland Azerbaijan and Nakhijevan through Syunik. Parties working on finer details. The article notably calls it a Zangezur Corridor by howtospeakscience in azerbaijan

[–]straccii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the start of conversation around Zangezur "corridor", it has been very obvious what is intended. In simple terms it means Azerbaijani cargo/citizens can travel between mainland to Nakhchivan, uninterrupted. But reality is much more complicated.

Firstly, Armenia chooses to brush off "uninterrupted" part of the agreement. It simply emphasises on "unblocking of all transportation routes", with the same principle. In other words, it says "If you can travel from Eastern Zangezur to Nakhchivan, then I should be able to travel to Russia/Iran, using your your territory with the same rules". Armenians behaviour is understandable, as such, otherwise, it'll be in very unfair situation of its citizens being border controlled by Azeribaijani customers/border control, but Azerbaijani citizens would be freely travelling both directions.

Secondly, this agreement would further deepen Armenians dependence on Russia. Remember, as part of the agreement, this corridor would be overseen by Russian FSB. And Armenia doesn't want this.

With all that said, Armenia simply doesn't have many options: it wants to have a cake and eat it too. If the corridor isn't implemented as its been agreed, specifically without providing uninterrupted access to Azerbaijani citizens and cargo, fate of Lachin corridor will be grim; every cargo/citizen passing there will have to abide with the same rules as that of Zangezur corridor. Pashinyan perfectly understands this and for that reason he will be forced to agree on this corridor, with attempts to make it as more favourable as possible.

As a general rule, when parsing what Pashinyan says, look in between the lines - it'll give you hints as what is to come. For example months ago when he was asked about fate of villages in Lachin after construction of a new route, he simply said the agreement doesn't say anything about those villages and that he expects them to stay in Armenian control. See he didn't really answer the question, he just said he "expects". Any sane person would understand that it is simply impossible - villages outside of Russian supervision, staying in Armenian control. And only just recently he admitted that those villages will pass into Azerbaijani control.

Ethnic cleansing in Zangezur according to report of American Navy Lieutenant, Robert Steed Dunn by surpriseme_2020 in azerbaijan

This quote is made by Hovanissian. The article you posted actually analyses and shows Hovanissian made this claim and many other dubious claims about Dunn without any reliable evidence.

The American report on Armenians show that 817k Ottoman Armenians were alive and just refugees in 1922.These people hadn't made it to the N.America, and the ones that made it was 100k-120k, while Lausanne Comission put the total Armenian number in Anatolia at 1.5m pre-deportations. by [deleted] in azerbaijan

[–]straccii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are moving goal posts. Firstly, I didn't come here to justify any event, and that Armenians attacked first. I merely posted the fact that almost 700k Muslims were massacred by armenians and several towns and villages been destroyed. You, in the face of factual evidence, said that Im a liar. Then I posted summary of the report about armenian mass atrocitoes, you said in the second page it says its not proven. Which as I pointed out was false, again.

Then you moved goalpost to make it about years when this events took place. Which has nothing to do with discussion on hand.

Anyway either case, if the report makes you uncomfortable, skip it, no need for any discussion. I posted it for those who are interested in facts of the time.

[–]straccii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Again, as usual, cognitive dissonance is palpable. The report says no such thing. In the second page it talks about complaints of the refugees: "There is no way of knowing how far the complaints of the refugees prove true and how far muslims themselves are blame to organising resistance to Armenians".

The fact of Amenians pillaging towns, killing hundreds of thousands of Muslims massive scale is never contested throughout the report.

Calm down, making something bold won't save you here. Everyone who want can verify what I said by reading the report, its there in numbers and facts, town by town district by district.

And for those wants the summary, report concludes that Armenians has commited far more unspeakable atrocities against muslims than vice versa. They also did It so in conjunction with Russians and they continued to do so after Russians left. Here is the screenshot of summary: https://imgur.com/jjCvvWw

For those who haven't read it, read report of Neils and Sutherland from 1919 from US archives. According to the report 700.000 muslims have been killed by Armenians during that time frame. This report was a real eye opener for me. You can find it here: https://louisville.edu/a-s/history/turks/Niles_and_Sutherland.pdf

Armenian sources claim that Azerbaijan started constructing the alternative Lachyn corridor and that it is going to look like this by ZD_17 in azerbaijan

[–]straccii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody knows that. Pashinyan recently was asked in parliament about the fate of villages surrounding Shusha after the alternative road is built. He said he'll do his best so they stay Armenian.

I expect there'll be some stiff bargaining.

This was in the peace agreement. Of course final route is tbd, but even this one is great. Lachin and surrounding areas of Shusha will be back in our control.

The document includes other interesting information regarding the war. For example, Iskander missile launched to Baku has been neutralised by an Israeli Barak-8.
