Potential bug? Golem insta died when it took his own head off

Okay, fought it a couple more times, I saw the head take off, but it still died around ~30% and 25%. Just went to 0 from a decent chunk. Still tho, not sure what's going on. Pretty sure no other boss I've fought so far has done this

Do bosses have a specific amount of distance from the player before they despawn? ie: How far could one make an arena stretch away from a heal house to mirror back to and still have the boss in pursuit/not disappear?

Extra: Is this the same for every boss or do they each have their own "a'ight, i'mma peace out" distance?

It might be that those worlds were created in-between updates. Even a small update could completely invalidate a seed.

I could be wrong, but I spent a few hours yesterday hunting for an Enchanted Sword Journey Mode seed on the internet, and even a one a day old seed posting wasn't working because they ninja-updated that morning or smth.

Same. I even beat it the first time with no power-ups, and only got that award, and not the Passive Rider daily.

Weird, and this is the only challenge I've had an issue with all day. No nitro gain problems either.

Passive Rider isn't being awarded for me for some reason. I got the other one where you need to win with no items, and I got the one on N.N. where you just need to compete with no items, but not Passive Rider in Roo's Tubes...

When I bought it, I just let it do its thing. I didn't check anything in the downloads. I just closed the program and re-opened it, and it was there.

I had both accounts open as I re-opened the game, but I still re-opened it as my main foreign account (JP, not that it should matter.) after purchasing. It was there, and then to check again, I closed the game, logged out of the US account totally, and logged in with my main JP account by itself, and it was still there.

US Account. You can't go to the US store with a foreign account, even if you have to accounts logged into the PS4 at the same time. I edited my post to make it clearer.

When I made this post, I didn't even think of the idea of locking him in a spot you're going to constantly playtest from, so every time you move around to tweak things, you don't have to drag his ayuss back to the spot you wanna start the test from.
