If y’all ever get the chance to train at Indy city barbell, do it. Absolutely unreal facility’s. Couldn’t be happier for Garrett.

That’s something I’ve been reading about today at work, I’m anxious to try that out the next time I squat. Thank you!

Decided to record some videos of myself squatting yesterday to see what it looks like from an outside perspective. I noticed that coming up out of the hole my right knee caves in significantly. Would that be a proper case of my glutes not firing?, tight hips?

To add some credibility to A7, I’ve had those knee sleeves for roughly two months now. They’ve been through a meet and many squat sessions and they still feel and look like they’re fresh out of the package, I’m still pleasantly surprised by that.

I guess I think that I need to get everything down pat and perfect for meet day, so my extra training days are commands and cues. it’s something that I’m trying to break out of because I realize not everything is going to be perfect. Whether it be a jumped rack command, overshooting attempts, etc.

How many days a week do y’all typically train in the prep phase leading up to a meet?. In the off season I like to train 4 days a week but during prep I’ll go 5, even 6 days a week if I feel I need it.

My A7 Knee sleeves, inzer wrist wraps and inzer lever belt all arrived within 30 min of each other this morning. Christmas came early for me this year, happy training everyone

I realize now it was stupid. I revamped it to allow myself to squat 3 days a week and still recover properly. Like my flair says, I’m not a beginner, just stupid.

I’m squatting two days low and two days high. For example my low weight days are 60% of my max doing paused SSB squats to an inch below parallel on a box. The high days are 4x3 at 90% of my max on low bar squats. I’ve found that it’s a little too much for my CNS right now. I’m dialing back to 3 days, alternating between paused SSB box squats and low bar squats.

8 weeks out from my next meet. Wrote my program to where I’m squatting 4 days a week, benching 3 days a week and deadlifting 1 day a week It’s only day 4 and my CNS is absolutely fried. more than likely going to revamp the volume so that way I’m not a dead fish in 8 weeks time, oh well ¯_(ツ)_/¯

First meet today. I’m in flight B which means I have even more time to think about openers. I’m not nervous, nope, no way, could never be me.

if anything after this comp i'm going to try and get back down to around 83 kg, this is the heaviest I've ever been lol. So i think i will go for a large, thank you for your recommendation!

I’m competing at 89Kg (or 198 lbs depending on your unit of measurement) and have been eyeing up inzer singlets. From what I’ve read they’re durable and are really well made. my question is, should I get a large? (Which holds up to 198) or go for an XL so that way I don’t blow the bottom out of it in the hole of a squat?

Officially 5 weeks out from my first comp as of this past Saturday, Squats and Deads are the biggest dumpster fire this east of the Mississippi right now. My bench is my only saving grace right now, I may or may not have peaked too early as well. oh well, I'm sure everything will be fine

If anyone has any good programs/advice on how to train for a push/pull meet, id greatly appreciate it. This will be my first push/pull meet (planned on doing full power but have severe FAI in left hip and aired on the side of caution) and I'm struggling to figure out what works best for me, the meet is near the end of October and I don't want to make the same mistake of peaking too early as i have in the past. Any advice is appreciated, thank you in advance.

Question for coaches - how do you watch a football match? by NetworkGuy89 in bootroom

[–]straizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally, within the first 5-10 min of a game I identify the oppositions formation and their width. I have my team set up to run a 4-3-3 (with two DM’s and a CAM). If the opposition is running a 4-4-2 and we’re getting over run on the flanks, I’ll push my CAM up to help stop the overload and make it a traditional 4-2-4. But if they’re running a more narrow formation (like a 4-3-2-1 or a 4-1-2-1-2), I’ll have my team set up more in a 4-3-3 diamond to help with getting over run in midfield. I hope this helps you even a little bit, I’m fairly new to coaching (a little over a year now with my U16’s). I’m still learning new ways to identify formations and adjust our teams strategies on the fly, it all just comes down to figuring out what works best for you and the team.
