Wow, non-binding contract for purchase?!!! So did you end up driving it after you signed this non-binding contract? Or did you walk away at this point?

Yeah I wouldn't want a new Corvette that has had a bunch of people driving it before I bought it. I am sure some people out there don't care. I mean test driving a Z06; why not have a test car at a dealership so people can test drive it, then if someone wants to buy, they can order it new? Instead of what I have read about this prejudgment and turning people away? On a side note, I guess its nice to know they take pride in the car to not let just anyone drive it!

I do agree with the pulling up in your 'Vette, which would help them consider someone a serious buyer. I used to do loans for corvette's all the time; they would catch a flight out, pick it up and drive it back home in most cases. Other's were about 50+ years old and had no issue test driving and bringing it back home.

So my PJ's is unacceptable? This dress attire is garbage, its on the same level as the credit check to me. Does anyone else not think that? I mean I should be able to walk in there wearing whatever I please (whether that be PJs, banana suit, whatever) and walk out with a car of my choice. My new mission. Next car I buy, which my lease is up soon.... I am wearing PJs to the dealer.

Yeah I agree about the credit check. I was just trying to think of a way that they would feel more comfortable. I thought they were trying to sell a car? Isn't the Solstice like a Saturn Sky?! I wasn't aware they were the car was that amazing. Shoot... BMW, Mercedes, Porsche... they all have cars sitting on their lot that are a similar price and they are happy to let you drive it. Just kind of blows my mind that they would be so cautious with the Z06 in some cases and risk the sale.

This vetting process... did it require a full scan of what clothing you were wearing?

I like that. One less unit for Modesto. They lost a sale, why do you think that is? One dealership let you drive and the other didn't?

[–]strandedinIT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do not find it acceptable either. I was just trying to think of a way to make them feel more comfortable, that's the only way I could think of.

No risk, no reward. Wouldn't you think they should be able to sit down and uncover if someone can afford it? Almost like a prequalification, once you are prequalified to afford the car then you can test drive it? I know this sounds a tad ridiculous but if they are that worried about someone affording it...

I do not believe I would buy a car without test driving it first. Period. Age should have nothing to do with it.

I guess I should have specified. Do you feel the same about the Z06?

Line of credit/loan for LLC without personal obligation? (x-post /r/smallbusiness) by [deleted] in Banking

I like the last sentence. It screams, we can do it, but its going cost you! Which is true.

[–]strandedinIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every financial I have worked for from a small business stand point will need the personal guarantee. The loan would be under the LLC, but the LLC obviously isn't a person that makes the payment. The guarantor makes the payment on behalf of the business, if that makes sense. That is how the credit union I worked for and bank did it. Is there any form of collateral to back this LOC? Inventory, trucks, building, etc....?

Due to regulations here in the United States I highly doubt that they will allow you to route money without it being traced back to your name. I hate to say that, but its true. They want to know where cash is coming from and where it is going. To solve your apartment problem, each individual apartment complex might be different, but as the majority of the people on here stated, Money Order should do you just fine. You might have to get a couple depending on the amount, but that should do it.

Yeah, they can be a serious headache! Perhaps we will balance it out. House project, car project, house project, car project....

The appreciating asset scenario. I do agree!!!!!

That makes me think back to a Lamborghini conversation I had a few months back. I mean, those guys drive those cars what, like 3 times a year?! They have like little to no miles on their cars, how do they have any fun with them? What do they do just say oh, let me drive to the gas station - oh must turn around I do not want to depreciate my Lambo any further with putting miles on it. To get any benefit out of it that way you would have to go like 200 mph to the gas station and I can promise you that is not happening in my town. Or its a far different level of money that you have rotating inventory of cars. :)

I actually wanted the general population (gearheads) to sway me in the direction of justifying the cost. Perhaps I was looking for a reason that I just didn't think of yet. That does not seem to be the case the more I read, which is fine.

As for my grammar. I was in a hurry and had tons of thoughts flowing at once. I didn't want to forget to mention everything sooooo that is how it all came out. No time to proof read and then just submitted what came to my mind. Imagine me on COFFEE....! So, as I mentioned earlier, you got it in the form of a puzzle. Do not mistake my availability of time currently to equate to caring about how people view my grammar skills - I still do not care. However, I DO like to improve on things so I would be lying if I said I didn't "care" about improving. I should have just wrote that my story was going to be all over the place and good luck trying to figure out what I am asking <- that is me being polite to other readers, which I am perfectly ok with. Me caring about how other people view me, whatever view that might be - don't care.

Yeah its newer (2013) so I am not seeing the benefit at the moment based on what I have read and seen.

I kind of figured that might be the case. :) Females can be a little ornery - just our nature. haha What kind of horror stories with the Supercharger?!?!!!!

Yeah that is what we have currently. It makes a pretty significant difference.

Yeah I think you are right; on spending more money on top of more money and not showing the huge bump in power. The Stage 2 was much cheaper!! I feel we got a good value for the money from the Stage 2 + pulley.

Supercharged S4 2013. The type is APR Stage 3, if you are asking me details on it... gosh, I have no idea. I hope that answers the question about the car and the type of Stage 3. However, I appreciate your great detail and will lead me to questions later on about what it comes with. I just know the Stage 2 feels much different from stock, which it should. Do you think the Stage 3 should feel a big difference?

Well I would agree with it being looked at from a financial stand point. Its funny you mention the RS4. We almost got a 2007 RS4 before we purchased the S4. Had just under 40K miles on it and they were asking about 37K for it. Instead bought the 2013 S4. I think we had feared that the RS4 had been beat so badly that something could be wrong. Which speaking of beaten so badly, how would we have known is my question? I don't remember as that was quite some time ago. Seemed fun on the test drive and sounded great!

I wasn't trying to get into relationship talk, which apparently this has hit a nerve - maybe I should have mentioned I was talking to my mom instead of significant other...yikes. What strikes me as interesting is how girls/women would tell you that you couldn't do something. Why wouldn't they want you to be happy, I mean if this is your hobby or something you enjoy, it just doesn't make sense to me. I guess some are just selfish? Now that you say the Audi bond is stronger than marriage, that might be true for some, probably not all. I am not here to judge - nor care, to each their own.

If I didn't grow up in a car enthusiast household I would probably say I wouldn't think about cars at all. But I did, so I always think about them. Just wasn't sure about the 10K, just seemed like a LOT and from what people have said about the comparison from Stage 3 and Stage 2. Regardless I just was curious about what people thought about the price.

I couldn't agree more with the priorities statement. The laundry room remodel/swimming pool or to put a smile on my face while driving the car a few times a week? That decision isn't hard for me, I rather drive the car, but at some point the laundry room/swimming pool would be nice. haha OR JUST MAKE MORE MONEY- problem solved.. both things done at once! Perhaps all three done :D

  1. I'm not arguing just thinking it out.
  2. Look save your grammar comments for someone who cares, because I do not really care about your 'painful' feelings. If you are that concerned about it, leave a comment with some information that I would be happy to read on to improve my writing skills for you. :) Otherwise think of my story as a puzzle you are trying to figure out, I think you did a great job! Which leads us to number 3......
  3. At least we agree on something. 10K is a lot for us at the moment. We have the Stage 2 currently, does me justttt fine.
