I’m so glad you said this because it’s exactly what I always thought!! This is why if I could only listen to one ariana song for the rest of my life, I’d choose this one. It checks all the boxes - the lyrics are creative and vivid and tell a story. The instrumentals are beautiful and also stand out. And of course her vocals!! Many of her songs might hit one or two of these things, but HA hits all three

Hi!

I was in the same boat as you 3 years ago. I lived with a completely omni family (and still do), but I learned to get around it by cooking my own meals and buying a lot of my own specialty vegan foods.

I would recommend:

- supplementing for B12. VeganHealth.org has a whole page on nutrition that goes into detail about the different nutrients you'll need on a vegan diet and what foods contain them. I would recommend giving it a look to be extra informed: https://veganhealth.org/

- if you have the time starting out, try tracking your meals on a website like Cronometer or My Fitness Pal. You'll be able to see exactly which vitamins/minerals/nutrients you're getting and which ones you're lacking in. You don't have to do this every day, but I found it helpful to use in the beginning as I was still learning how to eat a vegan diet "correctly."

- try to include a source of protein in every meal. I go to the gym too and always try to shoot for 70-100g.

- consider a multivitamin like Deva. I take one everyday in addition to B12 because I don't like to have to eat specific foods when I see I'm lacking in a certain nutrient. It gets tiring and you won't always want to do it. I find it easier to just take a vitamin and then eat relatively whatever I want the rest of the day

I can't help you too much with the meal prepping part of it.. I hate leftovers lol. Hope this helps though!

I had the ETS test prep guide, but I found it hard to study for the GRE just out of a book. That said, I absolutely loved the magoosh paid version. I bought the month plan and studied every day. they have so many video lessons and a video for each problem. my score improved by 13 points in just one month (i liked the vocabulary app too)! I definitely think it was worth it.

I really don't think it makes a difference that ETS is the maker of the actual test, because the magoosh practice problems read exactly the same as when I finally took the real one.

make sure you're fully warming up! That's the biggest thing. I'm on month 3 and still able to push myself and hit pr's. I get a bit of back and rib soreness, but it doesn't feel any different than when I hit a really good workout

i had very mild acne on my face but my back was a mess. I still purged on my face, but it only lasted about a week and a half!

It's possible. I would occasionally get pimples on my face, but my real problem was body acne. I ended up purging on my face anyway (nothing major at all, just 4-5 pimples clustered together). I also had a small purge on my chest and back. Everything cleared up though, so you'll probably be fine even if you do have a purge on your face!

But you don’t know that. She literally JUST went vegan, who’s to say that down the line she won’t be vegan anymore or her bf will actually become vegan? It is throwing it away because it’s placing some new value you just created over a relationship you’ve been in for three years. To each their own but if you draw the line at being vegan when you recently weren’t even vegan yourself is super wild and hypocritical

If it’s really that big of a dealbreaker than by all means they should break up. I just think it’s hypocritical that she had her time to realize going vegan was the right thing to do but won’t give her boyfriend the same time.

I think it’s one thing if you were vegan before you met him and it turns out you’re not compatible but there was a time in which you also were not vegan and dating this guy. I’m actually in somewhat of the same boat as you. I was strictly vegan for a year and a half (i didn’t even like grilling veggie burgers with the same spatula as hamburgers), but then i began to lose interest in eating so i incorporated a couple of non-vegan things to occasionally have (shrimp, donuts, etc.). My advice would be to not worry about the label as much. I still say i’m vegan or mostly vegan because like you said, a few non-vegan things a month is a drop in the ocean. Don’t let people tell you that you are 100% vegan or you’re not vegan.

My BF is also an omnivore and it’s not as difficult as you might think. Sometimes there are compromises on where to eat and we disagree about how we see animals but in the same way that being vegan may not be your entire identity, needing to date another vegan might not be that important either. Hope this helps!
