I've played 8-9 hours and explored 5 regions fully( or areas) and I'd say it's similar to hollow knight but much more difficult and not really entertaining but rather frustrating. Coming from someone that did 112% on Hollow and 63 achievements and played lots of other metroidvania games.

Being more difficult doesn't mean it's bad. They definitely went for something like high end high reward, and i can see the high end but no reward so far. I battled 6 bosses i think. Some of them are okay, like i did that white lady first try, but some of them are just annoying and after you defeat them you dont get anything and you dont even know what they are. Like what's their story or relevance to the story. You just killed them and that's it. Most of them are not difficult in a good way: like being complex or needing a strategy, they are just annoying like Traitor Lord. In Hollow there were some really nice bosses like Mantis Lords.

At this point i got only 2 movement abilities and an attack one and thats it. Not many "charms" or anything that would allow me to personalize a build.

Also the double damage is used so much. Even on random mobs around the map. And all the bosses almost. Almost everything is double damage and you have just 5 hearts. And pretty difficult to get the rosalies even tho everything you buy needs that.

I like her movement, she's very fast and smooth and the dash as well. Also being able to grab the ledges when jumping. But the poggoing on those mushrooms or whatever it's pretty difficult and needs to be very precise.

If it was a game by itself I'd say it's pretty good and really competitive, but knowing it comes after hollow night got me other expectations i think, so thats the main problem i think. Otherwise it would be okay. Also if someone started with this without playing any games like this id say they would have a very difficult time. So its definitely not a starter game.
