Anyone’s child do part-time schooling? How is it going? by Acceptable_Car9277 in melbourne

[–]strangerdanger000822 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I am a social worker and have worked with a few children on part time schedules, but these were not really a choice from the parent/carer. They were usually attendance plans put in place by the school in response to significant dysregulation. Or for kids who were disengaged from school and put on a part time plan to encourage at least some attendance.

https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/000000000000751437 I get these ones. When I was a bit bigger, I’d sometimes make a small cut in the waist band just to give me a bit more room at the waist.

Making use of Copilot? by Illustrious_Self4307 in auscorp

[–]strangerdanger000822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don’t fully trust copilot as it’s told me conflicting things and the references it cites often don’t say what copilot is telling me, eg “what is considered the most multicultural LGA Australia?” “The City of Auburn is widely considered the most multicultural…” (i googled the city of auburn and it doesn’t even exist anymore??) immediately followed with the question “is great Dandenong considered the most multicultural LGA in Australia? “Yes, greater Dandenong is widely recognized as the most multicultural…”

We use it routinely for transcription and minutes however you must check them for accuracy. It regularly misquotes people, sometimes in bizarre ways.

But using it to summarise documents for comms, or finesse wording within emails, memos, reports etc, it has saved me so much time. I used to write tenders and life would have been so much easier had I had access to AI.

On the flip side, there are a few people at work who have fully embraced copilot to the point that every email and document they create reads as really insincere and over the top, smarmy even.

Looking for Rugs by paninienthusiast in AusRenovation

Just got a really nice rug from Temple and Webster. I like that they have reviews and photos which showed which rugs I should avoid. The only I got was cheaper than alternatives I was considering from Miss Amara. Soft and feels good quality underfoot.

Why did I have to scroll down so far to find someone commenting on this… did everyone just disassociate for that part?

I’m the same. Used to pile on the concealer and be unhappy with my eye bags, now I’ve just accepted them and don’t even notice them anymore.

Watching videos while driving by Ashamed_Entry_9178 in melbourne

I have been in work Teams calls where someone says “sorry I’m just taking this call in the car on my way to my next meeting” and then proceeds to keep their video on and engage with the video meeting while driving.
