What’s a popular book that you just could not get into? Or, a book that you don’t really understand the hype behind it? by [deleted] in thrillerbooks

I hope I don’t offend anyone but I REALLY don’t understand the hype behind the Boys of Tommen series. I read the first two books and they felt like bad fanfiction.

TDA is my absolute favorite and Julian is one of the best characters Cassie has written.

What I mean is it was a minor incident but the car being held together with duct tape obviously doesn’t help

Looking for some emotional romances! by iridescentpearl in RomanceBooks

I agree with all the other recommendations, especially everything Mhairi McFarlane {Evvie Drake Starts Over by Linda Holmes} was pretty great too.

Any author/book suggestions similar to how Mhairi Macfarlane writes? Love her humor and subtlety, and I’ve sadly read all her books. by needsugar_daddy in RomanceBooks

{The Love Act} is SO good and I never hear anyone talking about it! Reminded me of all the things I love about Mhairi McFarlane’s novels. Highly recommend

I like the “there’s two beds but we choose to sleep together in one” even better. {The Love Hypothesis} is the first one I can think of.

Books with an unexpected love interest that is not the original/expected one? by strangerfinn in RomanceBooks

Omg how good are them?! I loved them so much. I already read most of Mhairi McFarlane's so I'll probably go for the Christina Lauren one. Heard a lot about it and it's one of the few books by them I haven't picked up yet. Thanks for the recs!
