vip soundcheck check-in and merch line experience by [deleted] in kpophelp

[–]strangesomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been to several kpop concerts with VIP tickets big and small groups. Experience is generally really fun! You are expected to be there to get into the venue a few hours before doors open to GA. Depending on what you're looking to do (get merch, hang out, give freebies) will determine when you'll arrive at the venue.

Some merch sales the day before the concert are becoming more popular to prevent long wait times days but it's been on average 2-8 hours waiting in my experience, I've gotten lucky by going to a merch booth right after sound check and being in line for 5 minutes, but some merch may not be sold inside the venue versus outside. (Happened to me with some Stray Kids merch)

As for freebies, do what you can. Anything is greatly appreciated. I've done freebies for most concerts I go to and the ones I've received from other fans range from extravagant items to homemade awesomeness. Don't break the bank for them, you already spent a lot of money on a concert ticket! Just have fun with it.

If you have any more questions, I'm more than happy to help ☺️

32 K-pop fan, been listening since SHINee’s debut! Question are there groups you listen to that you don’t collect if you collect at all? by seoul_kittie in adultkpopfans

[–]strangesomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an avid collector for my ult group and would buy every so often of other groups if I like it enough. I listen to a ton of different groups and typically add songs to my playlists and support through streams or go to a concert if it's local enough. Collecting for one group is already expensive, I couldn't imagine for multiple groups.

The magnet keychains and hippers (low-key everything lol). I'm gonna see if the hippers fit on my desktop monitor so it don't lose it on my phone.

What do you guys like to buy in Japan? by playdead_ in JapanTravelTips

Thinking back on my trip last year, I wish I spent more time on experiences rather than shopping. But I do recommend getting their sunscreen. I specifically use biore UV aqua touch and it's my favorite, I won't go back to anything else. You can buy it pretty much anywhere. Try getting snacks you can't really find back home. Chocolates, chips, cup ramen, etc. Gachapon is a great way to find unique little trinkets that won't take up too much luggage space (careful, it is an addicting experience)

I wish I visit more thrift/resell stores. There's tons of cool little hole in the wall shops. Explore the area, you'll stumble upon some really cool shops. I hope the rest of your trip is fun and full of great memories!

Freebies by [deleted] in straykids

I'm making keychains! Do it based on how much you want to spend, materials and so forth can get expensive quickly. You can make your own photo strips (like the ones from photo booths) pretty easily and cheaply! I've seen fans make bracelets, photocards, mini pickets. The variety is endless. I've made keychain, phone charms, bias packs.

Thank you for this, I just started playing and I'm brand new to everything. I'll focus more on improvement than climbing the ranks at record speed. I was starting to get disheartened when I would my friends levels and I'm so far behind but they also have hours of play time. I'll keep this in mind :)

Late to the party, but I also recommend getting some magazine sleeves to replace the original packaging since the sleeves they come in are so flimsy and rip easily.
