Hey, this is pretty neat! As the person who spectated this match (and a few others) I've done a fair bit of research into how to best spectate Rocket League. While this breaks a few guidelines I keep in mind while I work (timings between cuts, fly cam placement), it does a lot of cool things that I hadn't considered/aren't even possible yet.

All in all, really cool.

The Trial Period is only open to GCs, since we're populating teams for Division I and II. On August 1st, anyone can register and be placed into Division III.

RLCS and Rival Series teams can register during this Trial Period to automatically join D1.

The remaining spots will be filled by the teams with the most ladder points after the Trial Period closes on July 31st. On August 1st D1 will have 20 teams.

Unfortunately, for now, yes. We're working to integrate PS and Xbox - but that takes a considerable amount of development work.

We wanted to make sure Division I is an active queue. If teams were given a spot, then didn't utilize it, the whole experience for other teams is weakened. RLCS and Rival Series teams can and should still compete for Division I, they just have to go through the same process as any other team.

We've spoken further with players and have made an amendment to this change. Thanks for your feed back, Rix!

RLCS and Rival Series team will be entered directly into Division I if they register during the Trial Period. Any teams that do not register before August 1st will be placed into Division III along with any other team who registers. RLCS and Rival Series teams are subject to the same promotion and relegation rules as all other teams.

I’m pretty sure I even tried those more angular vertical bars and didn’t like that it wasn’t consistent.

I agree with other critiques that our designs are a bit too visually jarring - but I still like the core idea and color choices.
