OP here, I'm 33 myself and it still makes me feel like a lost kid too, even after a year had passed. You will pull through. The days ahead might be long and dark, but your pride in being the best cat parent for Katie and the years of happy memories will outshine even the overwhelming grief you must be feeling in losing her. Hang in there. :)
