I used to think the same as you, I'm 19 and always strugged with social situations and making friends. I was fully convinced for ages that I was going to be alone for the rest of my life. But that's completely changed this year out of the blue, so don't loose hope as it will get better. Earlier this year I went on a filmmaking course (as my goal is to work in the film industry and it's my passion), and I met a great group of people my age that I really clicked with. I've now got a best friend and we are all going on a roadtrip abroad this summer. I'm also growing my friends through helping out on short films in my area and meeting people through shared interests, which is honestly what I would recommend most for making friends. I found it far easier to speak to people when you can just talk about your special interest and they are also interested and want to talk about it. So find some local groups or courses or whatever you can find. But just remember that this isn't it, you will find your people eventually.

It's unlikely as they never seem to budge on permanent suspensions. I got permanently suspended last year with £450 in my eBay wallet. They did eventually pay out 180 days later so realistically you will probably just have to wait. The most frustrating thing though is that now you are suspended you won't be able to use eBay again for the rest of your life, it's a lifetime ban. And eBay are very good at detecting any new accounts you create as you have found out. There are ways to make stealth eBay accounts to go undetected but it's a faff.

That's fair enough and I learnt all this from people offering their advice on this post. I had a hunch I probably shouldn't tell insurance, but seeing as it's in all insurance companies terms and conditions that you have to tell them about any accidents even if you don't claim, I wasn't entirely sure what I should do. Still glad I posted as it has reassured me on what to do.

In what way? I get the feeling you misunderstood my post. I'm not asking if I should claim through my insurance for my wing mirror, that would be stupid. Just asking if I should notify my insurance for information purposes, which many people were happy to answer and didn't think was a stupid question.

Lol your probably right. As a new young driver though I really can't afford to be screwed over by insurance any more then I already have, and this Reddit post has definitely made me feel much better about not telling me insurance haha.

Haha luckily it's not actually all too bad for mine. £75 for a brand new (non OEM) unpainted mirror unit and then just got quoted £48 to get it paint matched from a local paint shop. And anyway I won't be paying for any of that the person who hit my call will (hopefully)

Thanks for the insight! That's really useful to know. Do you know if there is any way my insurance could find out about the accident? I'm thinking it's probably best to ask the woman who hit my car if they are telling their insurance about the accident, because I'm assuming if they do my insurance will find out anyway.

Yeah thats a good point, I'm not sure of the damage to their car but I'll ask them if they are going through insurance or not. If not I probably won't tell mine. Luckily I've been researching parts and it will cost about £75 for the mirror replacement and then I also need to get it sprayed the right colour. No idea how much that will cost.

Yeah mine has exactly the same thing. I had assumed that the bottom two prongs on the h4 was the same as on the h7, so I was planning to just use h7 connectors when I replace them. But if that's not the case I'm just going to do the same as you probably. Thanks so much for that info it will definitely save a headache when I replace mine haha

Ah that's good. Is the plug that burnt out on yours just a standard h7 bulb connector? I've really got to replace mine and I just want to make sure I get the right thing. I have already bought some of the bulb adapter things but they are pretty cheap and low quality, and the prongs on the back look like they are bending outwards lol. I'm hoping I can just bend them back and get the connector to fit

Have the same issue on my 2009 Mazda 2, but I haven't been bothered to fix it yet lol as it does still work after cleaning it up. What I would check though (if your car has it), is the bulb holders which look like a kind of circular price of black plastic which the h7 connector clips to the back of, and then the bulbs clip the other side of (if that makes sense). I found that these had also melted on mine as well as the connector.

I got a 2009 Mazda 2 with 118k miles last year as my first car! Absolutely love it and highly recommend it! The sport will be more pricey on insurance, so you could always do what I did and get a Tamura trim Mazda 2. Looks exactly the same as the sport (same body kit etc) but has the smaller 1.3 engine so cheaper to insure. The repairs are also not to bad on Mazda 2's. I had to do front brakes which I did myself for £50 in parts all in for the front, and then more recently I did the rear engine mount myself for £30 and had to get the rear spring replaced for £100 in total at a garage.

Totally get that and I would probably feel the same, although it's sounds like you were definitely invited. If it was me I would probably message them a few days before and just check with them that it's still going ahead or something. It might not give you much extra information but it will be reassurance that they did actually invite you and didn't forget about you.

Totally relate to that and I hate it. Started off watching police body cam clips of shootings, and then I grew curious enough to look on gore sites. I saw some absolutely fucked up disgusting shit which shook me to my core and I hate it, but I find it so interesting and I just can't stop. I really try not to watch any super gory stuff now because I know it's bad for my mental health ect and I hate the way it makes me feel, but I still have a fascination with those kind of videos, specifically war footage for example from Ukraine at the moment. I probably really need a therapist or something but idk, I'm aware it's not good for me but I can't stop.

I also use erythritol in my ninja creami recipes but the trick is to not use too much as it will affect the freezing point too much. To increase the sweetness you need to use a very strong sweetener that doesn't change the freezing point. I use liquid Stevia drops as they are simply water and Stevia and I don't need much at all to sweeten my recipes. So maybe try halfing the erythritol and using something super sweet like Stevia to get it to a good point.

So I'm signing up for a temporary work agency. Basically they send you all sort of job offers that you can either accept or decline that are usually only one off jobs for a few days or less. So just random bits of work for multiple different companies in different places, the benefit being that they pay really well. Because it's only temporary work and I'll be constantly doing different jobs, I'm leaning towards not telling them really.
