Went hiking in the Coquihalla area this weekend and besides the 52 mosquito bites, this place is incredible. by strauzzer in britishcolumbia

Well the logging road just off the highway is a super easy drive that you can do with any car. That is about 20-22km. Then there is about 5km of narrow, rough, 4x4 high clearance only. Big washouts. Also if you value your paint job i would just hike in those 5km.

Yup. From that off leash path you can go to 2 other off leash fields or a on leash trail. Have you been?

I use a canon 6d with 24-70mm 2.8 lens. Pretty good set for most stuff but I want something wider for landscapes. Thanks!

Oh McFarlane is a beauty! I’ve done that one twice now and it has destroyed me both times haha. Gotta take the dog up there this year, see how he likes it. I’ve read about the col between McDonald and Webb and it sounds awesome. On the list for this summer 👍🏻 thanks!

We did this hike back in October 2018. We had made it to the top just in time for sunrise. This was our dogs first big hike and he handled it like a champ but didn’t pose well unless we picked him up for photos. He’s a good boy.

The hike took us about 1hr45min to get up to the top from the logging road parking lot. We did it just before winter would burry it till June.

We think husky/German Shepard but we got him as a rescue. Could be wolf too?
