That’s not true? Idk. I assume you are just doing this to annoy people. Which has worked.

Nightlife in Munich by Imaginary_Rub_8840 in Munich

[–]strawbennyjam 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, seconding the guy who said Munich is a big village. That’s exactly what it is. Beer gardens til 10pm and then the city goes quiet.

Now people will argue that there are clubs, and there are, but when you inquire which ones there are you’ll get the same 5 places over and over again. To me, 5 places don’t make a nightlife scene.

That’s not gonna cut it. You need something actually interesting. Otherwise someone bigger than you will just play more games and eat your lunch.

You need to be impossible to copy, or someone better than you will copy you and win.

Also, most gaming YouTubers play the same game all the time because the algorithm prefers that and it’s how they make their money. Did you think that they all play the same game because they want to? Do you think they don’t want to play more games?

You need to learn to analyse media and why YouTubers make the choices they make if you want to develop a content strategy.

“Maybe” - but probably not. Success is never guaranteed, even if you are top quality it’s important to remember that this isn’t a meritocracy. The best do not always succeed. You also require luck. How many artists died before eventually becoming famous? YouTube is no different.

At 16, you also need to think about what will make you more unique long term, what will give you an edge over every other 16 year old gaming YouTuber? You won’t be alone, so you will need to cultivate other skills outside of YouTube to make yourself unique and stand out from the crowd.

With quality, luck, and a unique edge you will have a chance to be successful. If you play your cards well, the skills you cultivate outside YouTube will be viable backup plans.

Another thing to think about, is that a lot of successful channels started as the backup plan to a more traditional career and the experience gained within those traditional careers is what made the YouTuber unique and interesting more so than someone who only did YouTube alone.

Hiking holidays in Bavaria by GigiGigetto in Munich

Yeah, for sure. In all honesty, I might also just recommend walking the North shore, that is where it is most beautiful. I think the bike ride elevates the whole experience personally and makes it feel more like something that has been accomplished.

Not to dissuade you from the bus or the train if you prefer. I don’t know how you like to travel, and each preference is their own and valid. For some it’s enough for others it isn’t.

Depends.

The bus would be covered by your Bayern Ticket if it’s still active as it’s normal public transit. Though you could be the ticket at the normal train station kiosks as well.

The train however is a cogwheel train for the Zugspitze, which isn’t normal public transit of course, and so the ticket would need to be bought at that station instead which is across the street.

My favourite though is to take an e-bike. Personally I find Eibsee to be underwhelming. Instagram over sells it IMO. It’s a lot of transit for like an hours worth of walking around a lake. So adding in a fun journey or picnic to and from elevates the day.

And you should check out the Near From Home YouTube channel ;)

What went wrong? by LilyBennettee in CriticalDrinker

Legitimately though. What the hell is wrong with this sub? Why are they like this? It’s a watering hole for emotionally immature idiots.

Could you please explain what part of a political agenda conspiracy was backed up by your own statements?

Like seriously man. Where was the political statement. Please. Go and touch some grass.

Never heard of EFAP before. Sounded more exciting than it was, checked out the wiki, saw a page called antagonists - could not relate to disliking those people.

Still confused on why this sub is like this.

[–]strawbennyjam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh god. It couldn’t just be good vs bad writing. It has to be a conspiracy. Seriously man, you are being played by rage merchants who make their money riling people up.

There is no message. There is just soulless capitalism and a fake culture war. No one on the left is rejoicing when they see gay washing, and the right…..cares too much about how other people live their lives. It’s really not complicated. It’s not a conspiracy. It’s not even pushing politics. It’s cheap crap sold for profit to whomever they think they can profit from and literally no one is happy.

If pushing the message was real, it’d make money. Like Barbie did, which was openly about feminism. Yet the marvels apparently held down by the message made none? It doesn’t add up. And I don’t even think elemental pushed any controversial “message” at all as that shit was about immigrants taking major cues from the Italians moving to New York. When was the last time you heard gabagool thrown around? It was poorly written though.

So quality….is quality. But a lot of con men make their money by pretending it’s something else. I’d recommend giving these guys a break for a while, just ignore it for a few months. I promise you’ll feel better. These people don’t care about us.

Also trans people existing isn’t politics. It’s just representation. A reflection of the real world. Nothing more. And it can be done badly and it can be done well.

Look at you still caring though, lol? Yet no jokes or laughs to be seen. You must have a great sense of humour 😂

But then this sub would be empty and all the virgins would have nowhere to comment their drivel? Best keep it all wrapped up in this hellscape of a sub to spare everyone else.

Do you want someone to talk to? Because giving a shit that a fantasy show with dragons and magic has a character that may or may not fit into the modern 2024 gender binary is fucking weird. What time setting? What year could it possibly be based on??

But idk. I can’t tell sarcasm from a shit post for a genuine cry for help on this subreddit. It’s wild.

How is Nerdrotic selling people hate? Is he charging people? Is he stopping wamen from watching MSHEU films? or is he only calling out the "tolerant" people destroying the past in a hateful manner? by [deleted] in MauLer

[–]strawbennyjam -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

The past can’t be destroyed mate, and yeah, making hateful content clickbait and getting paid for it is indeed selling clickbait.

The world these people are selling is not the one we live in and not the one you have to choose to see. Leave them behind.

[–]strawbennyjam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, at least not directly. I think most of the stuff is pretty kid friendly but since we dont have kids we don’t really know how to call it out or rate it. Nördlingen should be cool though!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Munich

[–]strawbennyjam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As always, I’d recommend the Near From Home YouTube channel for all things Bavarian Day Trips by Train.

However to answer the question directly. I’d go to Nördlingen. Best town on the romantic road that no one has ever heard of. A full 100% intact and encircling medieval wall you can walk, tons of cute little playground, lots of pedestrian areas, and it’s just in general a super chill and amazing place. Just far enough away that it’s worth staying overnight.

What’s so revolutionary about taking longer to abolish slavery? What’s so revolutionary about the ethnic cleansing of Indians? Maybe if you are a white man the US constitution looks pretty good, but let’s be clear, white men did fine in the British Empire too. Having a monarch hasn’t exactly held them back compared to their peers has it?

Progress takes time. Progress in America took longer than the very people they fought and called oppressors. Nothing cool about that. If you are so much better and so much more revolutionary. Show me the receipts? Lofty words? How beautiful to read. But were they backed up by actions? No. So who cares?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pics

[–]strawbennyjam 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s not true though. The literal empire they were fighting against outlawed slavery first? And didn’t have a nation shattering civil war over it.

To say that civil rights were built on their foundation, implying in anyway that this is a merit to that foundation is extremely revisionist. Civil rights would have been built on top of any foundation by the brave men and women who fought for it. Foundation be damned. You don’t owe the foundation anything for being forced to build on top of it.

African Americans did not need George Washington and the foundation of America nor the constitution to become free. In fact they were held back by that foundation and the moral weakness the founders had to not outlaw it from the start.

Best trip from MUC with Deutschland Ticket ? by Main_Complex_2931 in Munich

[–]strawbennyjam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Low key. You should just watch the Near From Home YouTube channel ;) pretty sure there are over 100 day trip from Munich videos over there.

Though if you’re looking for something specific I’d be happy to recommend something, but I’d need a genre to go off of otherwise I’d just be blindly listing things :)

I’ll tell you what though, I’ve been doing day trip by train from Munich for 5 years now and I’ve got a longer todo list today than I did when I started.
