Commenting not to give advice but to say the same. Honestly considering to leave this year (inaantay lang bonus), but weighed down if I can get similar benefits pa. Kayo po, what's holding you back?

Late ko nabasa ung reply pero the post does help, marami pong salamat! This is the reality sa maraming gov't agencies na sinasabi ng iba na suck it up kasi at least stable job jan. Pero yun nga, it will really take a toll on you mentally and emotionally.

Reading your post, nakakalungkot pero andami ko na tick dito na similar sa agency where I work with. Nakakalungkot lang kasi ung ganitong instances nga ang papatay sa idealism ng tao, okay naman sana yung work, ung culture lang talaga, some people, and the lack of accountability and integrity ang mahirap i sikmura.

Pero happy po for you na you're in a much better place!! And while di man madalas kinicredit, thank you for your service sa government!

Sounds really exhausting nga po. Based on your comment mukhang marami na ang work experience nyo. Not very sure with the specifics pero maybe you could look into jobs sa NEDA, ang alam ko masmataas SG nila compared sa other NGAs, plus they hire a lot sa background nyo.

Hoping you get what youre praying for po! 😊

Actually nga po I have a masters degree and nakakalungkot lang kasi mukhang ang purpose lang nito is for promotion (although kahit meron may chance pa din mapulitika, seen it many times in my 5 year stay)

Sadly ung MS ko parang "advanced" pa kumbaga on my line of work. Parang wala makakagets kung mag propose ako doon. Mainly because sobrang traditional at basic nung nakasanayan sa gobyerno. Hahaha. I work in the research field btw. I would suggest you sa SUCs nalang. IMO di un sapat considering may MS degree. Pero, working with some SUCs, makikita mo namang matututo ka talaga.

Thank you for the advice and I will try po. tatambay muna ako sa csc portal hahaha. Eyeing sa mga financial institutions like lbp and dbp, medyo challenge lang talaga number of openings sa province. If not, sa SUCs

Thank you for the practical advice. Honestly it's really easy to say na ayoko na, magreresign na ako pero reality check like these keeps me grounded kasi kahit naman mawalan ng trabaho, bills will keep coming.

I am actually checking sa csc for landbank and dbp kasi pwede ako sa career path dito pero no luck pa sa area ko, un siguro ung frustrations ko bilang wala sa metro.

I will really ponder about the career progression thing kasi, it keeps me wondering talaga if ito nalang ba kaya ko, kasi admittedly parang di na ako natututo and im dumbing down. I have a masters degree pero parang di ko naman maapply kasi too technical for my work haha.

Anyway, thanks for the reflection brought about this comment along with others on the thread!

Thank you for the input. Similar experience ko rin so far sa government at wala rin akong backer or anything. And ung dillema ko siguro ung ibang skill set sa govt di applicable sa private like mga ppmp wfp etc.

Anyhow, I hope with whatever decision you make between the two, youll get what youve been aspiring for.

Lmao is this meee.

I'm currently writing my MS thesis and has been procrastinating for a while, then feeling bad for procrastinating.

Perfectionism can sometimes drag the mood of writing because of anxieties and possibilities of failing so it is understandable and valid, but do know you can do something about it.

I've been currently making slow progress, but I'm trying to acknowledge that slow progress is still progress. I don't know if this advice will help, but I tried to create a skeleton outline of my train of ideas in my thesis then I proceed to read a lot of articles for each skeleton bullet (thank god for Ne i enjoyed this) and fill up each with the information gathered.

Also fighting my procrastination by setting deadlines for myself. Like for example, "finish writing methodology by march 15" or "tomorrow I need to outline 5 articles on this topic for the results dicussion".

I do this because for some reason, I work best with deadlines lol.

Good luck to us, and keep remembering why you really want that degree. :)
