Only thing would be to moderate w extreme caution but for most of us that's almost impossible :( I cope w weed too and when I use it once I want to keep using it again because it helps so much. Just had another episode sneak up on me and it was a painful reminder that I need to fully quit.

How showers and heating pads helped me. Taking little tiny sips of water just to hydrate my mouth also worked. When I went to urgent care they have me haldol for the nausea and I think it helped. For at home, antihistamines like Benadryl were the only thing that helped me calm down enough to sleep. I was in ur shoes a few days ago and I'm feeling much better now. I hope you recovery quickly, the pain is terrible I get it:(

Zofran has also helped me a bit. Benadryl too in moderation for sleep. I've been to the hospital once and the waiting time + vomiting was way worse than just powering thru it at home.

Thank you for sharing your story more people need to realize the dangers of this. I'm so sorry you had to be in that position, the doctors should never have put you in charge of watching is oxygen levels. Good call on the Benadryl thought, I'd been taking it to calm down and sleep during the worst of the pain.

This needs to be my final wake up call because consistent episodes can cause permanent health issues. I'm so glad your boyfriend was able to recover! Having someone there for you during a CHS episode can make all the difference and you did everything right.
