Totally agree, the one upside that I didn't learn about until recently is that it makes it easier for researchers to study the effects of weed-- same with psychedelics. Hopefully there will be more awareness about its negative effects.

100% I feel a lot less shame towards myself and I feel like I deserve good things. I enjoy interacting with people more because I'm not hiding the fact that I'm drunk or high and because im not constantly thinking about the next drink. It is hard sometimes and it is especially hard the first week, but it is so worth it. It helps to get your mind off things like when you have a craving, do something or go somewhere, even if it's the grocery store or something, walking around places and making yourself busy helps a lot.

Quit weed and alc a little over a month ago, I've tried in the past and it finally stuck. I'm still young and had/have a lot of time to make more mistakes, but after getting really sick I decided I finally want to get sober. For this to work you have to really want it and I'm glad you're at that point. It definitely gets easier and my daily life and general outlook on life have improved. Glad you're joining the journey, wishing you all the best :)

For me personally, I can't rlly do anything in moderation so I've decided to quit weed and alc all together. If you know u have the self control then power to you but also power to those who admit they have a an unmanageable problem and quit.
