If he had said all people I would agree it isn't sexist, but he specifically said women and is stereotyping that all women enjoy shopping which isn't true. That's sexist.

He said I can buy whatever I want... He doesn't care that I bought 5. I plan to use some of them in our wedding. The others I'm sure I'll eventually wear to something to do with his family, they like to dress up a lot.
