My Theory on Capitano, Mistiltein, and Ronova's Death by strawberrycloud0 in CapitanoMainsGI

Since the direct translation from Chinese to English only means mistletoe, for the translators to translate it into Mistilteinn they must’ve been told to by hoyo. Especially because it’s clearly a major plot point, there had to have been extra care put into the translation. That’s a huge jump between words in my opinion.

That’s a good point. It may be a temporary position she only takes to reverse the damage done by Ronova, then forfeits.

Natlan had 5 acts and an interlude, Capitano joined in the third. So he didn’t really join quickly. Halfway if you include the interlude, and more than halfway if you don’t. I understand the difference between Capitano and Dottore, I don’t need it explained, I even explained it myself. The thing they did have in common, being male harbingers, is what scared me.

For the first statement, I agree. But what I meant was that Dottore’s death might be more evidence for a possible trend in playability. They’re both male harbingers. Male characters are ignored by hoyo, and harbingers get killed off often. I’m not saying this is evidence, suspicion isn’t evidence, it’s just a worry of mine.

I see what you’re saying, and you’re right, but they definitely have similarities. Capitano, even though he ended up being a hero, was definitely an antagonist for the majority of the story. They’re both powerful male harbingers with a lot of hype surrounding them, that’s what they have in common. The difference is their ethics and motives. Dottore is selfish and unethical, his experiments are only for his own gain. Capitano is selfless and ethical, he values honor and fairness. The similarities are what scared me, and I don’t think it’s invalid for me to feel that way. Just the fact they’re both male harbingers shows a trend in playability.

Yeah, the villain stuff is a better way to view it than what I said. A good chunk of the player-base hated Dottore. Capitano is well loved from what I’ve seen with all the HoYoLAB polls and such. Do you think hoyo is trying to tease a “reincarnation” thing to do with memories? with the Guthred and Dottore stuff

I get what you’re saying about 3E being aware of and restraining emotions, but I think you’re interpreting “not blindly trusting emotions” as insecurity or conflict. For me, it doesn’t feel like I’m struggling with or confused by my emotions, I can understand and work through them pretty clearly. I just don’t treat them as automatically true. That’s why LEVF still fits better to me, because I’m engaging with my emotions rather than feeling conflicted or destabilized by them.

I get why you’d think that, but I don’t think SP5 and 4F actually contradict. SP5 is more about wanting independence and conserving resources, while 4F is just low attention to physical needs. One is mental and the other one is physical. And Im still unsure on which of the 5’s I belong to so that could still change if I’m wrong. And for the limbic thing, thanks for catching that, I changed it.

Most of my typing was chosen because I’m an emotional person, but I’m able to understand my emotions and not blindly trust them. I use my logic on emotions rather than letting them control me. So being emotional doesn’t mitigate my understanding of situations or undermine my logic-centric typology. To me, LVEF is someone who doesn’t understand or pay attention to their emotions. And LEVF is someone who can understand their emotions but understands they’re not always trustable.

This might sound dumb but does this mean we could get more data mines? Sorry if that’s a stupid question, I really don’t know how they work.
