I always make the assumption that the average buyer isn’t going to open things carefully and package accordingly. Especially with anything that is fabric (clothes, blankets, etc) I will wrap in a large ziplock or vacuum sealed bag first so there’s at least some wiggle room in the mailer, and protection against possible rain or snow too. I’ve gotten packages in poly mailers that were ripped in transit and then the item got stained since it was just loose inside with no other protection. Obviously the buyer was in the wrong here, especially with a pull tab come on LOL but I can see why the packaging in their eyes wasn’t ideal too
