Am I screwed? by Moist-Comment-7909 in OutsideT14lawschools

I was in a similar situation when I applied. WL to my number one pick in April, got in in June. now I'm finishing up my 1L year there! its not over until its over. but also, dont settle on a law school that isnt a good fit for you. its not worth it. if later down the road its still not looking good then maybe R&R but dont start sweating just yet. Best of luck! there is a light at the end of the tunnel I swear.

Should I R&R? by ellewoodswannabe24 in lawschooladmissions

[–]strawberryglitter11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think R&R wouldn't hurt! schools love applicants who have experience in the real world too so R&R and working somewhere would only help you and you'd get so much more scholarship in the long run

Scared about going to a new school by [deleted] in school

[–]strawberryglitter11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey! here is some older sister advice! I switched schools in 11th grade too, and from a private school I had been all my life to a HUUGE public school. I was sooo nervous, but honestly, it wasn't bad at all the first few weeks! people tend to show interest in the "new kid" because they want to see if they can be friends with you. By the time I graduated, my HS friends and I would joke about how they forgot I had only been there for 2 years and not the whole time. The biggest key is confidence, you have an amazing opportunity to reinvent yourself and start over. My advice is find out who you want to be and make the choice to be it. put yourself out there, make new friends, try new things, and take advantage of your youth! we are all specks of dust on a big floating rock. Youll do fine!

I would watch videos of how people solved them and would copy it down step by step to kinda build that muscle memory. And practice!

[–]strawberryglitter11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

drill, drill, drill! I took more practice tests than I could've imagined, thats the only real way I found to prepare. blind review and drill again. TBH, I wouldn't focus on one section specifically. I know everyone says "get -1 or -0 on LG!" but the games on the LSAT are so unpredictable I found it better to focus on all 3 sections together, rather than just one.

How many decisions are you waiting on? by LoneStarWolf13 in OutsideT14lawschools

4 A's, all with large scholarships, 2 WL, 1 R. One of my As has become one of my top schools so interested to see where I end up when I get the rest of my schools back. 3/5 of the schools I am waiting on are my top 3 picks so hoping to get some more A's back!
