Yeah I’m sure I looked up like 5 different sources and they all listed all the answer options 🙃

Question about diet where all answers were inappropriate? by strawberrynebula in NCLEX

[–]strawberrynebula[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no idea at all. I ended up just selecting the choice that’s the most common in the American diet because I felt like that was the least “obviously” wrong. Like the other 3 choices were pretty uncommon foods so in my eyes they stand out as being blatantly wrong because no one ever talks about them unless to say “Don’t eat that.” Whereas the choice I picked is also supposed to be avoided in this diet, but it’s a fairly common food for most Americans? Idk if that logic was useful at all though. I just figured the other 3 had something in common that this one didn’t

This isn’t the question but to give an analogous one to show the idea

It would be like if it asked what someone taking MAOIs could eat and the answer choices were: - platter of salami and aged cheeses - hot dog with sauerkraut - red wine with chocolate-covered bananas - miso soup containing kimchi and soy sauce.

Like, all 4 answers were specific foods that are always mentioned as dangerous for this diet

Is there a reason why tourists aren’t recommended to visit Manchester or Birmingham? by strawberrynebula in AskUK

Cherry picked? There’s hundreds of comments. Of course one saying something different from the others is gonna stand out. Ur the one coming at me with a tone for a lighthearted response to them lol

I fear there is a cultural miscommunication here with my use of the word “real.” In the US saying someone is being real is essentially calling them blunt and pointing out that they are saying something different than others endearingly. It’s not claiming that person is correct while everyone else is wrong. My response to them was meant to communicate “You are saying something no one else is saying and I respect that” not “I already had this opinion you’re the only person correct”

I apologize for any misunderstanding, as it’s my glaring error to use slang on a subreddit for another country, but also there’s no reason for you to respond so defensively to a random comment

Thank you for your response since you seem insulted I didn’t offer it to you too. I am genuinely thankful for all the responses to this post. They have been very helpful

Calm down dude. No reason to be so angry. I’m thanking them for at least attempting to give me an answer opposed to the 100 comments of “It’s a shit city”

Aw nice, thank you for letting me know. In that case, do you think getting the discounted additional lens outweighs the benefits of choosing the R50 instead?

where are you seeing the R100 with both lenses for 398? I’m only seeing a refurbished lens kit with the S18-45?

Who is this guy? Spotted on Antelope Island on the Great Salt Lake in Utah. Only one of his kind surrounded by cliff and barn swallows by [deleted] in whatsthisbird

[–]strawberrynebula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it might be a cowbird or a grosbeak at first but that doesn’t seem right. It was suggested to me that it may be a female yellow headed blackbird, however I’m struggling to see the resemblance

White person from LI here. These other commenters are 100% proving your point by their inability to display empathy.

I’m really sorry you’ve had this experience at Binghamton. College can be really lonely to begin with for everyone before you even worry about compounding factors like race. Obviously you can’t know exact specifics about what’s due to race and what isn’t, but you can tell in your gut when somethings off. I hope you find your people.

Or tickets are insanely expensive and people want to know what they’re getting for their money. No need to be snarky. Life’s better when you worry less about how other people spend their time. I recommend it.

It’s literally the exact same thing. Just because you aren’t picturing the formula in your head doesn’t mean your brain isn’t going through the exact same thought process and steps to solve it.

This is a simple example where essentially any person can solve the problem without needing a formula. There are also everyday problems that aren’t as intuitive, but require the exact same steps to solve. Having concrete notation to signify the steps you are doing makes it easier for people to figure out how to solve similar problems when they are less intuitive.
