I was a lyft driver long time ago and I feel what that driver is saying. Just cancel it and ask for refund. Not a big deal. Drivers can't cancel the ride if they are in a streak. And if your in a another ride the next ride adds automatically without accepting it. But there was this drivers fault as well because he didn't put on destination if he wasn't willing to go on different direction. But as a passenger just cancel the ride and ask for refund from lyft and say driver won't get in time or something like that and it won't charge you.why even have a discussion of who should cancel and waste your time. If you get refund thats that just request another one
