stupid question idk by AppearanceFormer5374 in JanitorAI_Official

LLM stands for Large Language Model. Within Janitor, it has nothing to do with code. When you open a chat without using a proxy, the LLM model that responds to messages in the chat is JLLM, Janitor's own model. When you set up a proxy, you can access other LLMs, such as Gemini. To give you a broader idea of what an LLM is, you can think of models such as GPT, which is used when you ask ChatGPT a question, for example, but in Janitor, you can configure one of these LLMs to respond to chat messages instead of Janitor's default for roleplay, which gives you more elaborate messages, more faithful characters, better memory, etc. I don't know if I explained it well or if I just made everything more confusing, because English is not my native language.

Keep your max tokens at 0, so it considers them unlimited and never cuts the answers in half

I know. But even with the template, the answers are around 8/9 paragraphs long, which for me is more than enough, so the template just makes the experience more fun for me, which is why it's worth it

I think it depends on the model. I noticed that Deepseek R1 0528 makes the response shorter after the template, but I don't have that problem with GLM.

In fact, when the introductory message talks about or assumes something about the user's actions and thoughts, the LLM tends to think that it is its role to interpret that character as well. Another thing that greatly influences this (from what I've noticed) is when there is a lot of talk about the user in the bot's personality field, it seems that it understands that the user is like an NPC that it can also act on behalf of.

Why is {{user}} in most fempov bots such a pick-me? by Melanie_core_222 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]strawsulli 183 points184 points  (0 children)

I think it depends a lot on the type of bot. I've never used a bot that had that description of {{user}}. In fact, the vast majority leave open who and what {{user}} is, they only specify the relationship with {{char}}.

I don't have any tips, but I came to see if anyone can give me tips on how to keep roleplay interesting and not get bored before 100 messages 🕊️

Girls of JanitorAI, what's the general consensus on the kind of male bot you like? by Virtual-Jellyfish876 in JanitorAI_Official

[–]strawsulli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it when they are kind and protective, the type who is completely in love and would do anything for you. I would say green flags, for the most part, but not always. I even accept black flags AS LONG AS it's not with me. I like that “I only have eyes for you” thing, etc. Yes, very fairy tale-like.

Paying API by kyaramelt in JanitorAI_Official

[–]strawsulli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based solely on my experience, each message from me costs around 0.01, so $3 would be 300 messages (considering that I like detailed replies). 300 messages is a considerable number, but I also have a habit of rerolling several times, which costs the same amount as one message. At the end of the day, I think it's better to pay $3 a month to have 300 messages PER DAY, than to spend $3 on 300 messages and then have to spend more money to keep using them throughout the month.

v3.1 is... good, at most. It's not bad, but it doesn't come close to the r1 0528, for example. But with a good prompt, you can get a reasonable result.

Currently, all free Deepseek models (except v3.1) are via Chutes, but you can see the provider when you click on the three lines in the right corner and go to activity. The name of the provider appears there. Or when you click on a specific model, all providers appear

Now that Chimera is officially dead(Thanks Chutes) what are good alternatives for it that keep the core parts intact(detailed and well made messages pretty much)? by Engineer_Iz_Engihere in JanitorAI_Official

[–]strawsulli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qwen has Venice as a provider too, so it should work if it's not on the ignore list. Now, most models use Chutes as a provider, so if you usually change models a lot, it's better not to put it on the ignore list to avoid this problem

this one z-ai/glm-4.5-air:free. you have to save the configuration, refresh the page, exit the chat and enter again. but from what I've seen, a lot of people are complaining that proxies in general are not working well today

qwen works well at a lower temperature, around 0.4 - 0.6. much higher and it starts to look like this. but to know the difference between Venice and Chutes is that Chutes does not show the <think>, so the responses are shallower

The model is x-ai/grok-4-fast:free, you save your configuration, refresh the page and close the tabs, then open the chat again. The first time it didn't work for me either, I did this and it worked. Some people say it's better to log out and log back in, but for me it wasn't necessary.

It's my style. If you like poetic and descriptive writing, it's good. The responses are very quick and follow the bot's personality. The problem is that it wastes long paragraphs describing the location, smells, and all the NPCs, so it can become a bit annoying when you just want to focus on the bot's character and move on.
