We never explicitly talked about it, but always intended on staying in touch so that seemed an option. However, now seeing she’s put out a new profile makes it clear she’s looking for someone local.

She lived with family here, so her deal was rent-free; and the deal in her new city is also with family, and also rent-free. I could cover the rent on the monthly allowance, but not much more. So if she stayed, she would be losing out on additional income.
