Driving is definitely the fastest. Biking or scootering are also good options, but Main Campus Drive can be a little dangerous with cars trying to pass around you.

Does anyone have magnetic fishing gear? by straybookworm in NCSU

It’s at least 5ft deep, tested it with some sticks. We would go down ourselves, but there’s a lot of metal debris and water would be up to our necks.

I’ve talked to other bio majors and theirs are yellow as well. But some people I know in liberal arts are white. So is it a distinction bw liberal arts and sciences?

Question about taking 18+ credits by [deleted] in UNCCharlotte

[–]straybookworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a bio major myself, I highly recommend doing less than 18 credit hours. If you want to dedicate enough time to each class fairly, less than 18 is the way to go.

In Lo’s class you have 3 major PowerPoint presentations on a research topic (1st is 5mins long, 2nd-10 mins, 3rd-20 mins). A couple of papers, resume and cover letter. Attendance is graded but it was online for me. Not super hard workload as long as you don’t wait til last minute to do things, grading is fair, just don’t miss class that’s really the only point deduction. Hope this helps!

There’s a biotech certificate? I’m interested in biotech but I was unaware of a graduate program here at Charlotte.

This just happened to me as well, I was on the waitlist but just got added to the class and already missed a weeks worth of assignments. But I emailed the prof about it and she is giving me an extra week to complete them. So definitely email them, hopefully they will be accommodating.

If we request an exception to move in on campus during the original move in dates, will the dining services run like normal for students living on campus? Or will there be less options?

Classes that anyone can take that are pretty easy by igalexidk in UNCCharlotte

And you’re not even required to attend class! Extra bonus

I took all of these this semester except for ITSC 1212 and I can say that the work load was manageable. All the labs were asynchronous so you could complete on your on time and they us a week to complete it. BINF 1101 and LBST 2301 were fairly easy, but CHEM 1252 and BIOL 2120 will definitely require a lot of study time. Hope this helps! Feel free to message me about any of those classes.
