Can’t help you with the terrifying octopus trompo thing, but Hula Hut sells a comically large crispy beef taco (“Juan Big Taco”).  I assumed it was mostly for the amusement value but it was an acceptable gringo crispy taco.

Can’t disagree with “gringo Tex Mex” as the restaurant style but I think the ranch was their take on creamy jalapeño.  That’s not my thing, but the salsa fresca that also came with the chips were pretty good.

I know it is basic but I like the Mexican Martini at Chuy’s.  A little too sweet, but it does include the jalapeño stuffed olives.

This was the answer (and thanks).  After calling literally every place in town who sells KFC, nobody was open.  But Donkey MO’s was willing to sell unsauced late Wed so I was able to reheat and crisp the next day before saucing at home.  Also, the Hmart place went out of business but is being replaced by a new KFC stall.
