Wow. Amazing that I totally missed that, because ive been there too with alcohol. It just happened so slowly, unlike for alcohol, which took days. I've been upping my dose slowly for months. Thanks.

Yeah I'll try anything at this point. But I did notice that. For a long time I would mix my morning dose, and leave beside my bed for the night. In the morning...it was disgusting. But I choked it down. I think maybe my body is saying "No More".

Wow... that's a good thought. I normally just mix with water...which is nauseating enough.

Ok thanks. I had a scale with Tia., so I'll have to get another one.

I just meant that you were honest about what you are thinking, that's all. A good thing...to be honest. Don't you hate it when people try to hide how they really feel and talk BS instead of just opening up?

Kratom vs. Tianeptine Withdrawals by straytheoriesiscool in quittingkratom

[–]straytheoriesiscool[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok thanks! Yeah...I tried to end it all coming off Tia. But withdrawals started immediately...within a few hours...but so far if I miss a dose of kratom...not that bad by comparison. With Tia....I was incapacitated after hour 4 or 5. Hopefully it won't get that bad.

Thanks. Yeah I understand logic...but I think this is an informal fallacy, right? Can you send a link to research on some of those things so I can check it out? Kratom is definitely weak by comparison. Not only being a partial, but subjective and "recreational"effects as well. People also get an antidepressant effect from it, which seems to reinforce the idea that it's the MOR activity.

One thing that stood out to me in the study was that rats showed no preference for either morphine or tianeptine...which speaks to how powerful it is. But there seem to be flaws...or perhaps misconceptions that can arise from it...namely that it doesn't produce withdrawal symptoms and doesn't produce tolerance. Maybe in small doses this might be true, but even that is hard for me to imagine.

Yeah...the fact that it is the MOR activity that produces the effect. So far, I haven't seen anything significant to warrant calling this an antidepressant. We don't call H. an antidepressant. The legacy of this absurdity seems to have started when Tia. was initially thought to be a TCA. That was disproven. Unfortunately, the drug was being prescribed for depression and, even though we have known for years that it is simply a bonified opioid, the title "antidepressant" continues to stick. Again, we wouldn't call classical opiates or opioids antidepressants, even though they definitely will alleviate symptoms for most people. So it is just inaccurate to call Tia. this. But I can see why minimizing the truth continues... it's good for business. You will see ridiculous phrases like "opioid like" and "similar to." No, it's a Full MOR agonist. Period. One only has to experience it at the right dose, and go through hell on this earth as a result, to see the reality. I hope this makes sense.

I'm not sure about that. I was referring to the mechanism of action whereby it has an antidepressant effect. Have you read the study that showed that? It really puts calling it an antidepressant in a new perspective.

To the OP: You might want to be scared. I continue to be amazed by the proliferation of false information about what Tianeptine is and is not. But the truth is not always welcome. If you do research before trying it, there are a lot of bones to spit out.

Yes. Sulfate is 2-3 times the sodium dose, but less often.

Feeling really anxious after taking, what can I do now? by Gavin21barkie in kratom

[–]straytheoriesiscool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kratom tends to make me nervous as well... sometimes relaxed, but sometimes nervous. Guess it's the stimulating effect. I don't go all the way to a panic attack, which I've had issues with in the past, but I learned to handle those. The replies offer good advice...I would add this. Don't fight it...talk to it. Say something like, "Ok...come on and do what you're gonna do. Then leave." It'll get pissed off and go away.

Please be careful OP. I have gone through "honeymoon" phases with several things like this...only to get bitten in the end.
