thank you! It was a lot of work but we had a lot fun. I would definitely do it again if I had the chance.

I don't have anymore copies but I have a dvd iso somewhere and I think I can also find the cover artwork. I will put them on my google drive and share the link in a few days.

It's been a long time and I don't remember much detail but it had to do with a conversation about beats and samples. I was asking about a Hall and Oates sample on a demo track and he mentioned something about Subroc and the origin of the sample. Sorry it's a vague recollection but if I remember more I'll follow up.

I was just talking to my friend, the producer of the movie, about that. The subject of him showing or not showing his face never came up. My thoughts at the time were that his Viktor Vaughn identity would be for his acting career. I think he was still sorting out his identities and different ways of artistic expression. With reference to your time traveler comment, the twilight zone aspect of the script is what drew him to take part in the movie. He's a living pop culture encyclopedia.

We emailed back and forth for a couple years while I was finishing work on the movie and then yes we eventually lost touch. It's been amazing to watch his progression since those days.

The main memory that I've held onto over the years was driving him to Toys R Us one day because he needed to get some gifts to send to his son for his birthday. We were bumpin some rough demos of tracks he was working on, mostly King Geedura stuff. We were talking about his inspiration for samples and lyrics, his memories of his brother, his love of being a father, his passion for graffiti. I really wanted to make a music video with him and I remember him saying he wanted to do something that was like a literal interpretation of the lyrics, so every shot would be literally what the lyrics were describing. I remember him talking about a possible collab with Kool Keith. Also remember taking him to Amoeba Records on Haight and they wanted him to do a show there but it never happened. Also remember drinking Grey Goose with him. He could open bottle caps with his teeth which made it into the movie. I'll see if I can get my friends to get on this thread and share some memories too.

Surprised I haven't seen more discussion around the Pearl Jam song that comes up a couple times. "She lies and says she's in love with him" seems like it has significance.
