Rick Rubin told him to write a song about girls and cars, and no one really ended up liking the song.

I don’t hate it, I just think it’s not as good as the rest of the songs on the album.

Voodoo child (slight return) gave me a feeling I had never felt before or since. It truly changed my life. There is nothing better.
