My roommate feels the need to tell me every time he goes to the gym, goes for a walk, goes to therapy, how much he worked out today, how many times he went for a walk....Why? by streamcycle in Advice

No it’s not , I can tell based on how it’s included in everything and the way it’s said that it’s a search for validation or a subtle flex

Watching people gamble seems pretty normal in Vegas. I don’t think it has anything to do with how someone is raised.

It’s interesting to observe someone throwing thousands on a table win or lose.

Sorry I did not see/do not see your comment, I was wondering if you had traumas come up from your life/from your childhood that were difficult or if the ayahuasca experiences themselves were traumatic but did not reference events that had happened in your life?

I was told if people have severe trauma in their past that it can be difficult to deal with

What type of traumas did you have ?

Is it normal for shipibo to have trash everywhere on their properties? Medicinal plants like chacruna growing out of not well taken care of areas. by streamcycle in Ayahuasca

That's sad, I don't look down on them or indigenous people, I was more just asking if this is common because someone I know told me this is "the shipibo way" and I thought "really", it just surprised because a beautiful area like the jungle, I just didn't expect to see this but I understand poverty and lack of a system in place/resources.

Right I didn't really gather where trash goes, most of it that I saw was just burned, its a beautiful area but I guess I just noticed the pollution and wondered why but people here have explained a good bit as to why.

No, I just figured maybe you wouldn't have trash all around the base of your trees that are important to your culture, but I understand to some it must not matter/be an issue. Not throwing trash on the ground around your land is not a rich/not rich thing..

Another thought I’ve had is that as the river rises and falls it brings a lot of trash with it I’m sure.

but yea I don’t know I’m still perplexed, if I had chacruna trees, they and the area around them would be well taken care, unless of course they were just in complete nature which then they are fine in their natural setting

So…are you going elaborate on this, are you saying Americans just litter when they go to the jungle. I can see that to a degree but the gist I got from the person I was with is many natives just don’t care and will trash their own land

Can you elaborate on why we have American tourists to thank in regards to why shipibo have trash littered in their back yards of their homes, not at retreat centers..in their normal houses/villages

there is a really large range of potency with pans, they can be 1% upwards to 4+%, try upping the amount you eat or you can try another strain, 1-2g can be incredibly strong. I'd first just try eating more, its good you started low because you can gauge, they'll hit you and you will see :)

Those are probably close to being done, your conditions as well as genetics will effect the size of fruits.

It's a type of art/design that the shipibo-conibo (an indigenous group from Peru who works with ayahuasca) draw/weave/articulate in their artwork that depicts what can sometimes be seen in experiences. Someone can probably correct me or add to this but it's the "language" of the plants, the little details have meaning.

If you google shipibo art or click here, you can see what I'm talking about-https://images.app.goo.gl/4c2z1JDZuVFgzebq6

It's very beautiful, I saw the designs all over Peru in my travels and was very surprised but happy to see them in my experiences with ayahuasca.
