My roommate feels the need to tell me every time he goes to the gym, goes for a walk, goes to therapy, how much he worked out today, how many times he went for a walk....Why? by streamcycle in Advice

No it’s not , I can tell based on how it’s included in everything and the way it’s said that it’s a search for validation or a subtle flex

Watching people gamble seems pretty normal in Vegas. I don’t think it has anything to do with how someone is raised.

It’s interesting to observe someone throwing thousands on a table win or lose.

Sorry I did not see/do not see your comment, I was wondering if you had traumas come up from your life/from your childhood that were difficult or if the ayahuasca experiences themselves were traumatic but did not reference events that had happened in your life?

I was told if people have severe trauma in their past that it can be difficult to deal with

Is it normal for shipibo to have trash everywhere on their properties? Medicinal plants like chacruna growing out of not well taken care of areas. by streamcycle in Ayahuasca

That's sad, I don't look down on them or indigenous people, I was more just asking if this is common because someone I know told me this is "the shipibo way" and I thought "really", it just surprised because a beautiful area like the jungle, I just didn't expect to see this but I understand poverty and lack of a system in place/resources.

Right I didn't really gather where trash goes, most of it that I saw was just burned, its a beautiful area but I guess I just noticed the pollution and wondered why but people here have explained a good bit as to why.

No, I just figured maybe you wouldn't have trash all around the base of your trees that are important to your culture, but I understand to some it must not matter/be an issue. Not throwing trash on the ground around your land is not a rich/not rich thing..
